Why Toronto: We get George Hill and Paul Millsap, two veteran who can provide instant offensive score on or off the bench. Hill is an instant upgrade over both Calderon and Millsap but he's more suited as a 6th man. Harris has fallen off Jazz favors, perhaps with a change of scenery, he will rejuvenate his career, a possible backup PG when we draft one of Kabongo, Marshall, Wroten or Teague with the Indiana pick next year. Our lineups according to next year is as follows: KMWT = Kabongo or Marshall or Wroten or Teague
PG: KMWT, Harris, Veteran PG (Nate Robinson, Farmar, Udrich, E.House)
SG: DeRozan, G.Hill, Forbes
SF: 2012 1st round pick (Barnes or Gilchirist), J.Johnson, L.Kleiza
PF: Bargnani, Millsap, Amundson
C: Valanciunas, A.Gray, FA Veteran C (Mohammad, Camby, Turiaf or McGee)
Why Utah: The prize of their trade is Danny Granger, they are desperately in need at the 3 and 4 position. Hayward has proven to be a starter in this league but he's far from being an allstar. Granger can fill in that hole for him. Ed Davis will be shifted to the starting lineup with a change of scenery. Bayless will thrive under the Jazz system as opposed to the defensive mentality of Dwayne Casey. Barbosa can provide some veteran leadership for Alec Burks, their future SG. Enes Kanter looks like a bust so giving him away along with Millsap for Granger isn't that bad of a trade.
Why Indiana: Paul George is on the rise and he will only get better, Granger's day with the Pacers are close to an end, the Pacers will probably not make the playoff given their current new roster, but they will a few veteran to keep Bird happy, with the new acquisition of Calderon and AK47, they will for sure be at the top when 2013 comes along, they also acquire a possible top 10 pick from the Raptors when 2013 rolls around.
