In international competitions Valanciunas defends well against Gasol, but I think Casey will trust this job to Gray

So many stories in tonight's game. Rudy vs his old team. Ed coming back to Toronto. Both team on a winning streak something's got to give tonight. Could Andrea's last game as a Raptor. Jerryd bayless returns to Toronto as well. Should be a lot fun tonight and a good game.

Should be an intense game tonight. The fans on the Grizzlies sites are goin off on how they want to see Rudy struggle, and they want Tony Allen to shut down Derozan for Gay's comments. Im excited.

I don't get to watch a lot of raps games. The 2am start times, and sketchy internet means that if it isn't going to be a good game it really isn't worth the hassle. Unfortunately, it's difficult to know beforehand whether it's going to be a good game or not. I think I'm leaning towards waking up for it... It's just really depressing to wake up at 2am, spend 1/2 an hour to an hour trying to stream a game, having choppy audio and catching only 1/2 of every other possession, only to have the raps lose by 10.

I think i'll try my internet at 1:45 and if it's good then I'll try my luck.

Interestingly enough raptors are listed as favourites for this game.
Puzzling indeed. I know the line reflects what vegas needs to have as many people bet for each team rather than the expected outcome so they must really need the memphis gamblers to come out. I think we need a reality check here. This is a non playoff team from the east facing a 4 seed in the west. Today's game preview gives a more realistic expectation. Then again, that western 4 seed falls right above Denver and right below the Clippers..two recent raptor conquests. Any chance ZBo is out tonight?

It was funny to listen to the Memphis radio guy on the Fan this morning talking about Bayless' year. To paraphrase, he said that JB's year didn't start out well. He didn't really play well as a back up PG to Conley. But then there was this western road trip where the coach had this crazy idea of playing JB off the ball along with Conley. This worked as long as they didn't need Tony Allen for defence.

Sound familiar? Doesn't this show you how blind GM's can be? It would be funny to say how Memphis should have paid a bit of attention to his time here, if it weren't so sad that we made the same mistake when we got him. Circle of basketball life.

DeRozan/Allen matchup is going to be interesting. DeMar has played really well since the Gay trade. And Allen is one of the best and of the most phyical perimeter defender in the game.

At least DeRozan have to worry about much defending Allen he has just a little more offense than McGuire.... time for DeRozan to use that new strength he worked on tonight post up DD Post Up!

                          When last we met...

Interesting to go back to the last game in November. My memory was that we hung in there but lost which is correct if you only pay attention to the first half. That was back in our dark 3rd quarter days. We played them about even for quarters 1,2 and 4. Got blown out in the third. I seem to remember Valanciunas holding his own against Gasol. JV didn't show up in the score sheet but Gasol just had an average game. Derozan was 5-10 for 16 (close to his average) against the feared defensive specialist Allen. But some things have changed. FWIW, Bargnani was injured and did not play (leave it at that). The raptor killer that day was Speights (18 & 12). He's gone. But Ed's there. And, oh yeah Rudy Gay went for 14 & 6 in 27 minutes. Could be a fun one tonight. Still have to look through some very rosey glasses to envision a win.

What are the main Grizzlies forums? Kind of curious to see the other side of things. Isn't there an SBnation one or something?
