The amount of "bad" Casey does is enough to never be a championship head coach, which is what we should be looking for. If you wanna contend for a title in 2016 you better hope Casey isn't our head coach.
The fact Casey heavily relies on Nurse to design the offensive sets shows just how ill equipped to be a head coach he really is. Defense is more of an assistant coaches role. You need a head coach who can draw up plays and out think the other coach. Casey isn't that guy.
Short of beating Miami, Casey isn't getting rehired.

I say roll with this coaching staff (they seem to work well together) until a big name coach wants to come, which will only happen when the team is close to contending (ie 2016, fingers crossed). Or maybe this staff will keep improving, who knows

Toronto is very young and has multiple draft picks. It wouilkd be a shamne too lket it go to waste on a bad coach. The longer MU waits the harder it is to get rid of Casey. Hollins is a good comparison, Memphis looks better after firing him.Without injuries they could have challenged the Spurs and Clippers for top seed.

as much as I hate certain decisions Casey makes. The chemistry with the coach & the team is a thing to think about. Its not just players chemistry, its players buying into what the coach is selling. Its a coach that knows how to talk to / treat players & get the most out of them. If casey could fix some of his substitution issues & giving the ball more to the hot hand (the bigs in this series vs brooklyn), he would be a perfect coach in my eyes. He is a defense first guy, and as bad as we look at times, overall, we are a very very good defensive team.
at the end of the day the results are there. And I wouldn't make a major change (coach) to such a young team with great chemistry at this point in the game. They are putting out the best season in raptors history, I think you'd have to be crazy to take a chance & move onto a new head coach right now.
NOW. on that same note. I think they should only extend casey 2-3 years max. Because there are signs there that this MAY not be the right guy for the job long term & you don't want to hand out a longterm deal you might regret a year or 2 from now.

It's painfully obvious Casey will never be a championship level head coach. His contract is up. Time to go our separate ways.
