  • Raptors lose coin flip to Warriors; drop to 8th.

The Warriors won their tie-break coin flip against the Raptors and will be slotted seventh in the 2012 Lottery, according to a source.

Golden State's first round pick would go to the Jazz if it falls outside the top-seven.

The Warriors went 3-17 over their final 20 games of the season.

        Isnt us "falling" actually good?
Deosn't that mean that we get 7th and they get 8th?

If the BC and Ed are smart they will use that 8th pick and get Kendall Marshall, PG of the future.

nah i think we can survive one year with Calderon at the helm and draft Myck Kabongo or Ian Miller in 2013. This year we should look to draft PJ3 or Miller. High risk high reward players but what can you do

Can't believe that we ended up with th 8th slot... Worst case scenario came true. Go figure.

Where do you get Ian Miller being an solution to anyone's starting PG needs? The guy shot under 40% from the floor and averaged 1.3 assists per game, what there screams PG of the future?

My understanding with these flips is they still split the number of lottery balls.

It is if neither team gets a top 3 pick that they then follow the outcome of the coin flip.

Can anyone correct me if I am wrong please.

Ok...to be just a wee bit positive about this...the Cavs with the 8th pick last year won the lottery.

                            Blasphemy!

Real positivity would be they are actually 7.5 for the actual lottery and top 3 picks.

I assume that also effects 2nd round slot?

Kendal Marshall may get a good hard look now...

To take him in the 3-4-5 slot could have garnered a lot of critisism however @ #8 we may be in business.

If he has the foot speed to defend his position at tryouts - I think he becomes very high probability @ #8.

This team needs an unselfish pass first NCAA proven floor general who can get the ball to DeMar and Bargs AS WELL AS defend @ the point of attack.
"I may be wrong ... but I doubt it"
