Isn't but he never played for Washington as a pro. LeBron returning is different than Durant. Durant has no relationships with the Wizards as a player.
But it's his hometown? Sure, he hasn't played for them, but there's still quite a lot of incentive for him to go back.

No relationship with Wizards management. LeBron knew people in the organization, Durant doesn't. If Washington is .500 in 2016 then their chances of landing Durant would be worse than OKC.

Washington hired his high school assistant coach. and KD is extremely loyal to his mentors as evidence by the number he wears.

Lebron went home DESPITE knowing the management. Although besides Gilbert I'm not sure what other relationship he would have with that new rookie coach and GM.

LeBron went back for Iguaskas' number retirement. Varejao is still on the team. He and Gilbert were together for five years. This includes all of the people surrounding LeBron all of whom were part of the Cav organization. Durant is from Washington but he doesn't have the ties that LeBrton had. If Cleveland didn't draft LeBron he might never have returned.

We're building a contender. If memory serves, we were the #3 team in the East. If we win the Atlantic again, we're assured homecourt in the first round. There's so much parity compared to last season that reaching the ECF is a realistic goal. Stop hugging Durant's jock. The guy's under contract for at least 2 more years. Two more years if pining away over Durant? Seriously?

                Read the comments.

Every second one is Raptors 2016.

                lol

Dude is going to have a very difficult 2 years.

Will probably make LeBron's lead up to 2010 look mild in comparison.

Why don't we see how TRoss develops this year - the age group of JV ,DD and TRoss is a very rare blend of talent. The bench of GV JJ, and PP is sufficient. Personally , would like to keep Amir Johnson as a backup center on a 3/17 million after this year. In 2015 resign a upper level PF for around 4/46 .
The 2015 1st round pick should be for a Pg to replace GV as a backup in the following year. Additionally, a SHooting Guard for extra offense similar to what Lou Williams will be required to do this year.

Don't forget Lou ! GV/Lou/Landry/2Pat/Hayes. Thats probably one of the best benches in East
