“I love DeMar (DeRozan),” Bayno said of the Raptors’ swingman. “I’m also excited about (6-foot-11-inch center Jonas) Valanciunas. We’re going to add some players, and Dwane’s got these guys playing hard. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

I don't know what the bloody hell the Mavs are doing. I thought they had played the game in a really smart way up until this offseason. Why give Calderon 4 years? Why give Ellis any years? Calderon is a backup, Ellis is a terrible player, overrated because he shoots so much. They just crippled themselves for at least 3 years.
    Good questions.

I wonder if Cuban lost all resect among players breaking up a championship team to not even allow a title defence.

People who keep sugesting the raps should tank are delusional, you can't tank with a roster capable of making the playoffs unless you trade all of the older talent for picks and expiring contracts which Ujiri said he won't do
ujiri never made any comments of the sort. he'd be an idiot if he did.

...Where and when did Ujiri say he was sticking with the current roster?
He said he would be comfortable going into this season with the current roster. That is worlds away from saying he was sticking with it.

I am not saying a dismantling of the roster is going to happen, but I still think its possible.

personally, i really think the subtraction of gay would allow us to not make the playoffs. i think a package of young talented players and picks would get a deal done as well

Let's offer Devin Harris the same 3 year 9 million contract he accepted earlier with the mavs. It is an absolute steal for a combo guard with his skill set. And we can go full tank mode till he comes back from his surgery.
I'm pretty sure that's why they signed Buyckes: to try and get that type of player at a fraction of the cost. Buyckes is a quick combo guard with good size. He's also younger than Harris and doesn't have a dislocated toe.

Also, if you want to tank, isn't an inexperienced guy like Buyckes more ideal than Harris?

The Mavericks scrapped their three-year, $9 million commitment to Harris after it was revealed he was dealing with a toe injury, ESPN.com reports.
