Hes definitely a good player, no doubt about it... but i doubt he belongs in this team now that we have a "direction"... so I think we should cash in on his records so far before frustration builds up

ok, floors yours, explain why he doesn't belong.

I will tell you why I think he does.

          1) He's very young
          2) He has improved every year since being drafted.
          3) He's tough, durable.
          4) Good team guy, coachable and likes toronto
          5) He's currently one of the better SG's in the East
          6) He is a family man.
          7) He is a team player, unselfish and liked by his peers.

Thats just a starter. But fire away, why does Demar Derozan not "fit" with Toronto.

              1) not really that young
              2) He hasn't really improved
              3) durable yes, tough no
              4) not really seeing the team guy/coachable...maybe be due to Casey
              5) Ok
              6) Nothing to do with basketball...most players have families
              7) again I really don't see this but it may be the coaching

If this team is looking to build a contender he needs to be either a) an elite 3pt shooter and a defender or b) an elite playmaker

                No point in trading DD
Here we have #tankforWiggins and then not trading Demar. They're both SG's (if we do land him, we can move DD .

                    okay. Ditto

Difference of opinion but I will side with DD's 125-205 W-L record speaking for me

Thanks Oldschoolcool for sharing the sentiment

5 years in the league and he is a big part of his team.... he defo should be accountable for that record during his time here...
and all that other stuff you mentioned earlier in your post is likeable in a player but they do not necessarily transform into Ws.

LMAO. Tankers worst nightmare tonight. And we don't even have those 'serviceable' bench pieces from SAC yet. Are we tanking, or not? Was Rudy massive addition by subtraction? We will go on a Ewing Theory playoff run? Will Vasquez revitalize JV and Amir? The debate just went up a few notches. lol.

And I will side with that argument not making any damn sense.

It's a team sport, and DeRozan isn't a #1 option on a title contender, I don't think anyone on this whole forum would disagree with that. What he IS, is a very capable secondary or tertiary scorer that is among the best players in the league at his position. If you get blown away in an offer and it helps the team? Sure trade him. But you don't look to ship him out just because he's playing better than normal, he's not some trash that we have to get rid of to move forward.

Kyrie Irving and John Wall have pretty bad won-loss records as well, so does a guy like Cousins. Guess their teams should start trying to ship them out the second they have a string of good games right?

LOL. You people think this trade means they're tanking???

I dont know what Ujiri's plan is but this trade has actually made the Raptors a better team. They now have depth and they now have a LEGIT backup PG who's more than capable of being a starter in Vazquez.
