He's an "all star" right? he made the all star team this year. He's making 30 million a year. All star caliber players should be putting up more than 10ppg in the playoffs.

Again, he can get away with those numbers against the Magic. But against Philly, MIL and GSW? nah. Guy needs to step up.
And before some smarty pants reply with "But Dennis Rodman" Rodman throughout in his career was primarily known as a defender and a rebounder. Lowry has proven in the past(mostly in the regular season) that he can put up 20ppg. He needs to average 20ppg if they want to beat top end teams in these playoffs.

    • Heat didn't need Bosh to score 20 pts per game to win a championships.

They had the 2nd greatest player of all time in LeBron and an all time great in Wade. The 2nd best player on this team is Siakam.

Past reputations don't mean much, though. Kawhi and Siakam are playing as well as Lebron and Wade.

Wade was in decline for the Heat's first championship and completely washed for the second ring.

            • Hard to compare era's.. but even in the 90's, Jordan only had Pippen that would score more than 20ppg. Hakeem had Thorpe (who scored 14) at #2 in 1994. He had Clyde in 1995 that scored about 20ppg.

Most teams 3rd best player scored somewhere around 10-15. So what Lowry is producing. And that's not even including guys like Serge, Norm, Fred or Danny that can each get 10-15 as well.

Now if we didn't have Siakam's resurgence I'd be worried too.

ONE bad scoring game? lol he scored 12 the other night, last night he had 9 points and 6 turnovers. He's averging 10ppg in this series against DJ Augustin and the LOWLY Orlando Magic. Should i bring up his FG% too? Now, no one's gonna talk about it because they won and because the Magic are so bad. But if they want to beat top end teams like Philly, Milwaukee, and GSW....then Kyle Lowry needs to step up offensively. 10ppg is not gonna cut it against those teams. Kawhi is gonna need some help.
Narrator: Kyle Lowry is the third leading scorer on the Raptors against Orlando.

Disagree. Wade was still a heck of a player in 12-13. That year he averaged 21/5/5 and shot 54% from the field. His decline started the year he signed with the Bulls.

                  • Its useless to compare Raptors to the Heatles. Apples to oranges. A lot championship of teams built like that, 2 all time greats at the top. But then the other half of championship teams, or a large number of them, are just one top 10 player surrounded by a bunch of really smart, really good players. Like the Spurs, or Pistons, or Kobe and Pau Lakers, Mavs...those are more our comparable as finals hopefuls.

What I'm saying is nobody, not Pascal nor Kyle, need to be prime Dwyane Wade. They just need to be the best versions of 2019 Pascal and Kyle

Wade only averaged 16ppg in the playoffs that year. Its been only 4 games into this series but Siakam is averaging 22/9/3 with 53% from the field. About what Wade averaged in the regular season (swap the assists for rebounds).

I think the Bosh comparison for Lowry is pretty good. He like Lowry was that 3rd guy. Lowry is just better IMO.

We need more Ray Allen like moments from Danny though.

Choose any metric you want. Wade was garbage in those 2012-13 playoffs. We're talking about playoffs.

That's not fair though. Siakam has only played FOUR games - and the Magic are a pretty bad team. Can he continue to put up these type of numbers as they go deeper in the playoffs? against top end teams?

So you cant judge siakam as good on 4 games, but Lowry can be judged as bad. Got it

Lol. This is Siakam's first FULL year playing big playoff mins. This is Lowry's 5th year or 6th year lol. Lowry unlike Siakam has a long history.
