Lowry at 9, DeRozan at 10 I can live with. He's done a lot this season. Paul George needs to get the hell off that list.

I have to rember that list is only made by one guy. At least the rest of the media knows what's up. Lowry was top 10 last season in MVP votes..

Lowry's not even in the next 5 mentioned, meaning top 15. It's criminal, you can tell he doesn't follow toronto e just knew we had a good record and probably looked to see who the top scorer was

        • Here's my mvp ladder

          1. Lebron james
          2. James harden
          3. Russell westbrook
          4. Kawhi leonard
          5. Kyle lowry
          6. Isaiah thomas
          7. Giannis antetokoumpo
          8. Chris paul
          9. Marc gasol
          10. Jimmy butter

Golden states guys get no love from me, when your talent is so ridiculous that could you lose a top 5 player tomorrow (durant, curry) and still be first or 2nd odds on favorite to win the title

I come at it from "how many more wins are you bringing to the team by playing"..and in that measure no way you could have durant over lebron. Take lebron off cleveland and they're fighting for a playoff spot. Take durant off golden state..well we had that last year and they won 73 games, didn't lose in the like the first 30 lol

              • 1.) Harden (unquestionable MVP at the moment)

                2.) LeBron
3.) Westbrook (put him below LeBron because his team really is not that good)
                4.) Kawhi
                5.) Lowry
                6.) Durant
                7.) Marc Gasol
                8.) CP3
                9.) Thomas
                10.) DeRozan

Don't understand how Butler or Giannis can be anywhere near the top 10 when their teams are below .500 and barely over .500 respectively.

SA with Kawhi on court +9.0 Net RTG
SA with Kawhi off court + 11.1 Net RTG

Chi with Butler on court +3 Net RTG
Chi with Butler off court -10.9 Net RTG

Using your criteria, why is Kawhi 4th and Butler 10th? SA would be good without Kawhi; Chicago is almost Brooklyn bad without Butler.

Edit: Brooklyn is only -8.0 Net RTG, worst in the league. Without Butler, the Bulls are 2.9 pts/100 poss WORSE than the shittiest team in the league

If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

                  • Lowry really hasn't been that far off from the production of Steph's 1st MVP season.

                    Steph: 23.8ppg, 7.7apg, 4.3rpg, 2.2spg, 3.6 3PM/G, 44.3 3PT%, 63.8 TS%. 11.5 OWS
                    Lowry: 22.4ppg, 7.2apg, 5.0rpg, 1.6spg, 3.3 3PM/G, 44.5 3PT%, 64.2 TS%, on pace for about 11.6 OWS

                    • I haven't seen him mentioned yet..but anyone got joell embiid sniffing their top 15? Man, to think the guy started playing basketball at 15, improved rapidly in college, misses 2 years with foot problems and comes out like gangbusters, philly is getting more respectable with every passing week. This kid is scary good

Nate Duncan/Danny Leroux basically said the same thing as Lowe when they chose their ASG starters.
