Not necessarily disagreeing with you but what resources did Masai have to bring to bear in this case?
He answered "not guilty" and waited around for the other clowns to drop the case....I'm not even sure he had to present his case in discovery yet. It was more a pain in the azz hanging over him than expensive.

Also, one of the judges remarked at the sheer amount of resources utilized in the cases. Masai didn't pay out of pocket but there was a lot more than "Not guilty."

Masai had filed a counter suit which he dropped when the original case was dropped, so he did have resources to apply pressure back on the PD. And he hasn't gotten any support from the NBA and silver does need to at least apologize for the bullshit statement he made on it."We're playing in a building." -- Kawhi Leonard
