Ideally, a young point guard who can replace Schroder in a couple years. Dyson Daniels would be nice.

Sure, but you phrased it as an issue of Pascal's perceived value which is the problem. I don't think that is what is holding up any potential trades. His value is something along the lines of a young prospect, draft pick, and salary filler. Giver or take pick or prospect. That wasn't going to change during the off season.

Pretty unlikely we're getting back an All NBA talent in that package so they're going to see if they can make their All NBA talent work with this new squad. If not and it becomes necessary to trade him then they'll have to look for that package by the deadline. We know ATL offered something along that package, and Slaw mentioned Detroit as a potential trade partner as well which might be good. Probably one or two other teams that might be interested, but again, likely not getting a future All NBa player coming back.
We should be looking for a similar return Philly got for Harden, not all nba talent in return.

It's a GM/Presidents job to make trades when necessary. High(er) end players change teams more in the NBA than any other sport, even difficult to trade players. If we're going to say we can't sign FA here and we don't have a lot of our draft picks (including this year's #1) and now we're saying trades are too difficult, whay the hell have a team here?

You don't need 29 teams to trade with, you just need 1 and lots of GM's get it done.
I think now the NBA is into that early December trade window or the trade deadline. Not sure any team is looking for a move right now.

Look, they should have moved him this offseason. Little of what they did this past offseason with the roster makes much sense but they are where they are.
