I'm mad Toronto lost. But look at how they lost.
They missed wide open shots all night.
They are always a little turnover prone, but tonight they were flat out bad.
The opposition couldn't miss. Guys who can't even crack 30% from 3 were draining um like Curry.

It just goes to show you what pressure does. Happened in Philly too. The team with zero to lose, and a hard working mindset will always over achieve in a situation like this. The Raps have a literal HEAP of expectation on them. They came out tight as fuck.....they played uncharacteristically....and well, as per usual, the refs are in playoff mode (thats a euphemism for them fucking toronto over whenever they can.....but thats nothing new)

Basically, it's a tough series, but I think this game is behind them, they will be ok.

Orlando took it to the Raps today, no doubt about it, they played the better game from what I was watching. They have a bunch of playoff newbs who came into the #2 seed house and outperformed the higher ranked team. They wanted it a lot more.

It's just funny that with a whole "new team", the results and analysis remain the same - Lyle sucked and the coaching was awful. Maybe DeRozan and Casey were not the problems? All I can say is that if we get ousted vs the Magic, everyone not named Spicy P needs to go.

Clifford adjusted having Vucevic act as decoy, he knew from the get go that the Raptors will concentrate their defense on his big guy so he allowed both Fournier, DJA and even Isaac hang around the perimeter. Raptors collapsed on Vuc leaving the shooters wide open.

This noob coach never adjusted. He rolled out a three guard line up with Powell/ Kyle and Van Vleet out there.

if you still dont see this kind of coaching blunder then you watched a different game.

Kyle showcased a one man shit show but Kawhi/ Green/ Pascal and Gasol were more than capable to take over yet these four guys were load managed because Nurse still thinks his team is playing a back to back.

    Fuck you Nurse

Game 2 becomes a must win now. Lose that and it's all over.

Noticed that Raptors in the regular season cannot hold leads on most occasions because of Nurse’s experimentations of his rotation.

Another thing, Can someone tell me if they have seen in this first game any new strategy that this coach was bragging about he was trying to keep in his safe and willing to roll out when it matters?

Lowry shit on the bed but a close game like this would still fall on the coach’s onus

DJ Augustin was +5, so guess what? Kyle outplayed DJ! Don't do this to yourself, PM. It's not worth it.

I'm at the point of just laughing this one off as some weird Raptor karma and being pissed that we're now going to need 6 or even 7 games to vanquish these guys. I accept that Lowry randomly gets the yips in big games and hasn't played real defense in like 4 years. It is what it is. We should be able to overcome that.

However, Nurse only playing Kawhi 33 minutes was more concerning... that's totally in your control. Letting him cool off on the bench while the Magic built a lead, especially when Kawhi started the game looking like he was gonna drop a 40 piece.
This game was ours to win, but the guys with all that playoff experience could not make plays in the clutch whereas the guys with no playoff experience do...Fucking awful game by Lowry and Nurse (Kawhi 33 mins).

This game really hurts...Miscommunication on last play say;s something about preparation and understanding of roles and responsibilities. How could they let him shoot? Let's hope it's a wake-up call. Augustin goes for 25, 12 years in the league. Our point guard gets 0 points. Total embarrassment.
And it was against possibly our best two defenders.

There was a long stretch that Van Vleet guarded Fournier and the magic streaky shooter basically man handled the miniature back up guard.

Masai fired Casey for not adjusting but Nurse was even worse. Ffs how can you allow a back up player with his size defend a starting 2 guard who can nail threes???

Raptors were up by 8 but Nurse load manage the minutes of both Green and Kawhi. De ja vu of so many regular season games (with no scheduled game the next day). Still understandable then but for him to continue this shit in the playoffs is just Dumb.

I just wanted to know what exactly his success rate of his after time out plays?

Playing Kawhi 33 minutes at home/ first game of a series with so many days rested prior is fucking Idiotic.

Casey would feel way better now.

I cannot believe until now why Masai hired this G league coach
