allows their starters more rest... when your fresher in the 4th you can play harder and we saw this in this game when the bucks outsourced and outplayed the raps.
problem is we dont want fvv to play. we dont want powell to play. we dont want lin to play.
so i mean... we're screwed then right?
Nurse played 7 guys
yet Ibaka only played 17 minutes
we were outrebounded 60 to 46
Fred midget played 13 minutes with him having to struggle guarding Brogdon and most of the time got lost in a switch ending up guarding a bigger guy
Nurse should play Marc/ Ibaka and Siakam
vs.
Brook/ Ilyasova/ Giannis and Middleton
Ibaka should see more minutes, that was very successful in game 5 and 7
Nurse is just fucking spellbound of FRED VAN VLEET

Bud played an 8 man rotation with zeroes from Hill and Connaughton.

At this point if it's length then give FVV mins to Lin or McCaw... they cant possibly be any worse at this point.
I dont mind FVV playing with Lowry for a few mins, but we dont need FVV out there being the guy and only if Kawhi is out there (maybe Green resting)
And i think others pointed this out even allow Kawhi to be the PG for a few mins if Lowry is on the bench. Or McCaw who is a capable PG to play a few mins when Kawhi is on the floor.
Lowry and Kawhi should not both be on the bench at the same time... it just's chaos for us.
Bottom line they have to someway, somehow get the starter mins down to 34-37 mins. 40 mins on a regular basis is too much. 3 of our starters went 40+. Gasol was almost there at 39:55 (and for his age thats too much, he shouldnt be playing more than 35 mins now). Green was the only one with reasonable mins at 35.
Nurse is gonna kill them.Last edited by sanyo; Thu May 16, 2019, 12:44 AM.

Bucks couldn't hit a 3 until 4Q. We shot great (Raptor standards) and had 7 point lead going into 4th and other than Kyle we go 0 - 15 in 4th. Missed shots means guys are tired. Green and Gasol are MIA again. Bucks won that game coming from behind. We are done.

Gasol is just tired now. Nurse played him hard the last few games with Embiid mins went up. At 34 years old, he cant play moe than 34-35 mins. Ibaka has only 17 mins, he could easily play close to 30 mins or even more... he really needs to rotate in there and give Siakam and Gasol a few more mins of rest.
OG is out or else he could give Kawhi even 4-5 mins extra rest. He's not coming back so we gotta deal with it. I would take Kawhi out when Giannis rests.
McCaw needs to see some mins, even one shift to give some guys rest. Even Meeks, give him even 4-5 mins so someone can rest and Meeks is dangerous from 3... he's a bit of a defensive liability but you bring him in when Green needs rest.
Anyways Nurse cant ride the guys this hard anymore... he needs to find a way to give guys rest... they cant play 40+ mins anymore.

Raptors weathered the storm early first, in the second quarter and early third when Bucks tried to come back. How many times a visiting team can do that against a talented well coach team?
Yet there was that moment when a coaching mistake happened and that momentum shifted in favor of the home team.
What a herculean effort by Kyle but those shots may not come around next time. Those are positives above the norm and we still lose.
Blaming missed shots by Danny and Marc during desperation time is just finding fault and turning a blind eye to what is always ailing this team in losses.
Consistency from coaching is what we need. Like beating a deadhorse....stop going back to failed experiments

Day One wrote: View PostFuck nick nurse running Kyle fred and norm to start the 4th, dumbest fucking thing ever. I was already pissed when he had fred in over norm let alone the fact that you should never NEVER even have more then one of them on the court at the same time. Same coaching mistakes that allowed philly to go 7. It's even weirder that he seemed to figure it out towards the end of last series but than reverted back to it in game one of this series.

Okay, that ending fucking sucked, but it doesn’t change what we have to do which is get a split in Milwaukee. Win Game 2 and everybody is feeling a lot better heading home
Just need to rebound the ball and for every starter except Lowry to shoot a bit better lolThe name's Bond, James Bond.

This game was there for the taking, sustained a roughly 8pt lead up for almost the whole game, until Nurse decides to go AWAY from what's working and roll a Lowry-Fred- norm lineup. The lead instantly evaporates, Bucks regain momentum, crowd gets into and we never get back. That lineup has done nothing for us the whole playoffs, but he keeps going back to it and pissing away leads.
Also ran stretches with both Lowry and kawhi sitting.
this is a great team, they're very talented, play great defence, play with heart, and fit well together. But we got a bad coach here folks, there's no way around it. We got this far despite of Nurse, not because him. I just wish he stopped tinkering and stick to what's working. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Silver lining is that this game confirms the bucks defence allow a lot of shots. Lets regroup and try to steal the next one
