Is there a rivalry with Brooklyn? They've played in one playoff series in recent memory (two in 20+ seasons) and the Nets have been awful ever since.

I feel like the Raps haven't been around long enough to have any true rivalries and they don't really have any natural ones. They have no meaningful playoff history with anyone in the division outside the Sixers, maybe, sorta? The Lebrons - but they never beat them, so it wasn't really a rivalry and that was more about Lebron anyway. Wizards?
    - "Fuck Brooklyn"
    - Toronto doesn't have "it" (Paul Pierce in general)

Now Kevin Durant's chirps, and no love lost in Raptorland for Kyrie Irving the flat earther thats played for 2 of our other rivals.

Both teams should be around the same talent level for a bit too...maybe not a massive rivalry, but you gotta start somewhere!

I would say that Philly is their greatest rival. Two game seven showdowns decided on a final shot? That clinches it.

In any event, it looks like the Toronto Brooklyn rivalry is back and better than ever

The fans didn't know what happened at first. They were cheering for the turnover, it was a championship game, every possession was crucial. When they realized that Durant suffered a serious injury they gave him a standing O.
Agreed. It was extremely volatile and intense in that 1st quarter. And not just in the ACC, but in almost every bar and viewing party across Canada. Lets not forget as well a couple minutes earlier we had this little chirp session

MASSIVE game, every possession was nuts, people hated KD, people knew the injury story, many of the cheers were for the turnover, many of the cheers were a guy who was going off that game and these people lost themselves in the moment. Soon after, as you said, there was "KD, KD" and cheers.

The whole controversy after was media fueled and Toronto fed into it with all the "get well KD" cards and giving to his charity and maybe even buying his mom a pedicure it got ridiculous.

And now they can all remember why they hated him before the injury. Cause he's a douchebag.

He said it after the cheers about his injury were brought up. I don't really blame him all things considered.

β€œIt will probably be the last time they will be in the Finals,” Durant told Yahoo Sports with a smirk.

To meet him in the middle...

Guess you should've stayed off the court, cupcake. But hey β€” hindsight's 2020.

Speaking of 2020 ... wishing you all the best when you retake the court in ... what? ... autumn, 2020?

    At the very earliest.

Sorry about your fall in 2019.

Stay classy, and so will we.

    p.s. Fuck Brooklyn.

    peace

Wishin' you a speedy recovery, Kev.

    lmao.

durant probably won't ever go to the finals again either.

    what a loser.
lol. I wasn't cheering when he went down. Don't wish injury on anyone, mostly for the karma.

But that position he's sitting in in that picture is pretty appropriate. Sitting there like a baby. What a child this guy is.

Once a bitch always a bitch. Hands down my least favorite NBA player. It still bugs me that he has 2 cheap finals MVPs. He won't be back before Raptors. Masai > KD
Yep. The ONLY reason he won championships was because he joined a super team. Joining the Warriors was one of the weakest moves in NBA history. That will forever be his legacy.

    KD's 2 championships = tainted.

NBA fans at large will not remember Kawhi as a Raptor. So we shouldn't either.
