kind of insinuates clippers out of the running if it's to be assumed that danny and kawhi destinations are linked. unless clippers are uninterested in pairing them. would they still have room after resigning pat Beverly?
Don't think Danny is tethering himself to kawhi. he wants to either A compete for a title or B secure the bag. don't think this can tell us much about kawhi. Lakers and raps are ring potential. Mavericks will be about securing the bag

Frankly I think the three teams are based on who Kawhi picks.

If Kawhi picks the Raptors, Green tries to return too.

If Kawhi picks the Clippers, the Raptors lose interest, and the Lakers suddenly have huge cap space and no quality role players to spend it on. Enter Danny.

If Kawhi picks the Lakers, Danny's not going there for a near minimum deal, and again the Raptors probably move on, so Green goes and signs with the Mavericks to get his payday.

      • Yep, Green is tethered to Kawhi until his choice no longer benefits Green. If Green signs someplace else before Kawhi announces we must "worry".

It's irrelevant anyway. OG is not eligible for an extension until summer 2020. Pascal is eligible now.
Pascal and Simmons / Murray drafted 2016. Pascal got off to a slower start.

                • Not Kawhi-related
                  - Wilson Chandler to Nets
                  - Rodney McGruder to LAC three-year, $15 million (ok, a little Kawhi related. I think Clips are blinking)
                  - Willie Cauley-Stein to GSW

The Jazz are filling out their roster really nicely, they're going to be a tough team to beat.
Mudiay and Jeff Green are interesting bench pieces. Think Conley can sort out Mudiay?

Utah is betting on their culture, but it's also just a low risk, high reward pick up. They don't really need him, he'll get some minutes probably as a 3rd stringer. Jazz get a depth guy with upside, Mudiay gets a chance to develop. He's been all over the map.

The Knicks are never a good spot to seek development. Mudiay is a good athlete. If the Jazz play the up tempo game he should help them.
