The Great One
Embiid followed this up by taking an offense foul on the inbound on the other end to take away any chance of philly winning. Perfect display of the dichotomy of these 2 dudes. To be the champs you got to beat the champs

How ESPN and other media outlets feels about this matters a lot. The TV money, in large part, pays the owners... and then the owners pay the salaries. The huge salary cap spike a few years ago was specifically due to the new TV deal the NBA signed right about the time Silver came on board. That's how significant TV money is. And then there's China with Tencent streaming rights. But there's also the sponsors (i.e. Nike), who pay the NBA, the owners and the TV networks. They are the true puppet masters.
I agree with other posters in that the fans lose out. Teams and talking heads talk about how the fan base doesn't care because they want the championship, and that might be true, but I can't afford playoff tickets. My only chance to see these teams play live is in the regular season.

Nobody in their right mind would take Jokic over Embiid. I have Jokic ahead of Towns in my C rankings now though.Mamba Mentality
