Hard to be too confident in that skill, but reason for hope. Sadly his 39% three point shooting came on only 23 shots spread over 8 games. Still, better than shooting 25% in that sample.
Well, got a couple years of G-League to figure it out....

That works out to about 2.9 attempts per game, which, for context, Larry Bird only managed 3 times in his career (3.0, 3.1 and 3.3). And that 39% is higher than Larry Birds career percentage. So really, this guy is better than Larry Bird.

Yes, whether these guys in particular turn out or not, it's still really exciting. Siakam and FVV have demonstrated how the G League can legitimately be used for player development. Gone are the days of drafting a raw guy who has to sink or swim on an NBA roster. You now have multiple years of in-house development and can be patient. You can draft high potential in anticipation of needs 2-3 years down the line based on current roster construction (or just the potential of the pick).

        This is fun.

Now that looks like a Masai Ujiri pick. African-born, only started playing 5 years ago, defensive specialist with a promising outside shot.
Yeah, this dude from the outset looks like a better prospect then the Hernandez kid. Know very little about both, but Konate looks to be a better shooter, has some court vision & passing instinct (rather then just tunnel vision to the rim), looks bulky/strong already which means he can hang in the NBA frontcourt already. Character-wise looks like a good kid, and has the right defensive instincts.

Masai was hungover this draft so if he nails it extra Marks

At 22, he reminds me of a mini Serge (6'8" vs 6'10") with his shot blocking and jump shot. Big, strong kid. Certainly a Masai guy.

Do we know if he's full signed or just an invite for a potential 2 way contract? Either way, I like what I see so far and will be keeping an eye out during 905 games.

He signed an exhibit 10. So if he makes the team he's on a minimum salary deal - which could be converted to a 2-way deal; and if he's cut, he can get a 50k bonus going to play for the 905.

At the very least, he should give us a couple highlight reel blocks/dunks in summer league

This is what he has done. He's got us salivating over undrafted rookies who sign exhibit ten contracts. H has us itching for summer league to start. Abnd he has us marking the starting date for the G-League season on the calendar. Getting fans thisexcited is kind of a super power.

Bruno actually becoming a starter, right on schedule as Masai predicted, was eerie.
