I can't see it waiting till June though. Everyone can't not keep working, the world must go on. And to healthy people the virus doesn't seem to be any worse then the flu. Alot of people that I've heard tested positive are almost better now. Would definitely be scary for people with health problems and the elderly though.

I would say play 10 games maybe even less of regular season. I think if it comes back it would be unwise to throw team right into playoff atmosphere after not playing for so long. I don't think playoff teams would change like the 8 are locked in each conference but seeding could change alot espically in the west.
I still think its very up in the air tho. But when rates of sick start to go down i could see it coming back with no fans. Every player, coach, ref and staff gets tested once every 4 days.Everyone goes right from the game to home (designated drivers or transport who is also tested) The thing is it could all get shut down again if even 1 player test positive again, it's a hard situation to predict. I still think it's 50/50 we even see another game played this season as tough as that is the admit.To be the champs you got to beat the champs

I personally don't think we'll know the extent of this, whether it was much ado about nothing or something historically significant for another 30-60 days. The NBA doesn't either so "targets" are useless.

There are some who think it would be in the NBA's best interest to permanently shift the season at that point, and always run something like December to August instead of October to July. Would obviously be a huge discussion and negotiation between the league and PA.

Would be a hard sell for any players in the NE US or Canada. No way are they or their wives giving up having Summer's off. Plus their kids are off school then. Zero chance imoTo be the champs you got to beat the champs

NEW==>OLD:
December==>October
January==>November
February==>December
March==>January
April==>February
May==>March
June==>April
July==>May
August==>June
That's how you look at it. It's really only a 2 month shift. Instead of having the finals in June, you have them in August. 1 month of summer will be affected.. but less competition with the NFL. Easier also to book arena time for teams like Toronto that have both hockey and basketball games.

Not to mention it would take away international ball from NBA players. All the european players would be devasated if that happened

What about the possibility that the Nets could have both Kyrie and KD playing for them in the playoffs because of the delay?
But Durant's longtime business partner Rich Kleiman tamped down expectations for the former MVP on Monday morning, telling Golic & Wingo that hopes of Durant playing in June or July are "not very realistic."
"Honestly, not very realistic from my standpoint, and not even spoken about," Kleiman said.

But the NBA would in theory make more money as they would not have to compete with the NFL. Most players can still get most of July and August off. August will essentially only have the finals in it.. since it would be comparative to the current June schedule. With July looking like the start of the NBA playoffs. So if your KAT or Booker you'll still get to hang with your family for 2 months.

Wives goal would be for you to miss the post season altogether and divorce rates would soar lol

Again, zero way that many of 16 teams will agree to give up any of July and August. You play in shit weather all winter in Toronto and Chicago and Boston and Minnesota and Detroit and New Jersey etc and then have to give up the best months of the year (likely wherever you live) to keep playing? Guys don't want November off in lieu of July plus miss Summer's with their kids.

Also there are a lot of professional baseball players and they've done fine for well over 100 years without having vacations off in the summer with their kids.
