Sometimes the more talented team doesn’t win…

    This was exhibition, but still…

    (and this is without OG.)

Bam Adebayo (Nigerian father) started for Team USA. He’s thinking about switching teams now.

I told y’all not to fuss about Team Canada. Shit happens in FIBA.

Canada Under 19 team continues their run .. They beat Spain and they are off to the semi's ... Their reward is they have to face the U.S in the semi's
Zach Edey has come out of nowhere and is now a beast . The kid is insanely huge... apparently up to 7 foot 6 in shoes and still growing. The Canadian Yao Ming. Hopefully he doesn't suffer the injuries that befall most giants who play basketball.

Edey doesn’t seem to know his actual height.

“My height goes through weird spurts,” he says. “I was still growing recently. With shoes on, I could be closer to 7-6 by the start of (next) season. I have no idea.”

Didn't see the game, but shows we won 86-56.. and we even lost the fourth quarter (11-19). Spain is next. Game is scheduled for Friday, I think at 5am EST (12pm GMT+3)

I think they took the foot off the gas pedal after the 3rd and started resting starters .I was watching the game and they were just playing with them for 3 quarters .

We didn't lack 3PT shooting we lacked 3PT making. Just about everyone on the roster normally excels at 3PT shooting and are very good at it in the NBA.
Yeah, if we needed a 3-pt specialist, then Mulder is that guy who does what Stauskas and Heslip does.

To quote the winningest coach in Raptors franchise history: "we missed a lot of shots we normally make, Doug."

It was one unlucky game... shit happened. It's over. We could have used another big man (cough, TT) is maybe the only real complaint. That said, we still out-talented the Czechs by a wide margin.

Exactly. If anything the person to get mad at isn't Nik but Tristan Thompson. NBA contract secure, should have been there & would made a difference.

Dud the last time ? He had 16 points against Venezuela first game and was hurt in the big game and I think he avg close to 15 points in the whole tournament . This team lacked 3 point shooting and that is something he specialized in . We also missed Brady Heslep .. That guy was an amazing 3 point player also ( he has retired )

Whose minutes does he take from the team we just fielded? He was a dud last time he played for Canada and he's not a big man so we probably didn't even invite him.

I wonder what's up with Nik Stalkus ? He had an opportunity to play for Nurse .. He plays for the 905 team but don't know if he was asked or he has just told him to not bother .

The Raptors organization has been very supportive of Canada Basketball from day one. The immediately saw it as a corporate responsibility to grow the game from the ground up. The fact that it reflects well on them through public perception doesn't take away from the credit they should receive.
