Well this sucks. Hopefully all the guys that didn't play have a fire lit under their ass to play in the 2023 World Cup. If we have the full roster we would be real competition to win the gold.

The execution late in the game was horrible. The ball gotta be on Wiggins hands EVERY possession. Instead they had Barrett and Lyles forcing shots inside.

I know it's not Canada's fault but they only had one quality big man on the team(Powell). This whole golden era means nothing if the top guys aren't going to show up. I get that Murray and SGA are injured but what's Brooks excuse? Thompson? Olynk? Birch? etc...

Wiggins will be 30 years old in 4 years. Murray will be 28. These guys are not getting any younger.

Meh. We already have 10X the talent of the Czechs without those guys. FIBA is like that sometimes. One & done, like March Madness. The best team doesn't always win. It's happened to the US many times.

Brooks is a chucker too. The real loss were the bigs.. it's a shame. Olynyk & Birch are free agents and don't want to jeopardize their future by getting hurt. It's always the same excuse. Just find a better insurance company. Boucher's excuse is dumb. He got hurt and wanted to get healthy.. but then he also played late into the season when our season was in the toilet anyway. And Tristan bailed on Canada a long time ago. That guy is just flat out unreliable.

Also, for that last shot, they should've designed a play for Wiggins. I get that Lyles got a wide open look but I don't trust him to make those shots. Wiggins on the other hand is pretty clutch and is more than capable of making difficult shots. Always give the ball to your best player.

World Cup is in 2 years, it's not just the Olympics. We can potentially have a full squad for that and qualify for the Olympics by finishing top 2 for Americas, so beat out Argentina.

The refs cost the team 6 points on total bs in the 4th, and another 4 points of garbage in ot.

Too bad team canada didn't realize the urgency they needed to play with until it was too late. You can't pin this loss on Lyles. Disappointing considering how much talent we have. Oh well, bring on 2024? Maybe we can tank and get 4th pick?
