I questioned the roster construction from the very beginning. It wasn't a joke when I said washed up Thompson would be a MASSIVE upgrade over Lyles, Powell, Birch and Olynyk. Lessort and Yabusele made Canada's bigs looked like a bunch of idiots.

Tonight was a one man show. SGA didn't get any help. Murray = disaster. Not sure why he played so many mins. Nembhard who was so good the other night barely played tonight, I don't think he even took a shot.

Nick Nurse probably would've found a way if he was coaching(fuck the Sixers).

As I thought will happen….Team’s success dependent on how hot the shooting of both SGA and Murray. Last night showed rust from the both of them…but no big deal, something they both can work on as they get back into game shape ready for the real deal.

However, no practice or game reps will correct how trash Birch is and unathletic Olynyk is. The former Raptor and the current Raptor will get eaten alive against the big Euros. Olynyk is a pylon on defense, 6 inches vertical leap and slow/ flat footed. What was Ujiri thinking extending this Relic mid season. LOL.

As I stated on my earlier post, SGA and Murray’s offensive firepower will have to offset what the team is lacking in size.

Also, not having Edey and Wiggins didn't help. Wiggins when healthy is the second best Canadian player. He's a great defender and can create his own shot. On the team that we have SGA and Murray are the only guys that can create their own shots.

A very disappointing end to the tourney. Credit to France cause they did exactly what they wanted to do early and hung on. I was very surprised Canada couldn't exploit the French guards at all (other than SGA) and there was zero offense outside of one guy. The interior defense was finally a problem but even with that they never should have lost that game.

We sent literally everyone who was available. Not sure what else you think they could have done to the roster short of sending couples back in a time machine to make big men babies 25 years ago. We just don't have any good Canadian bigs. The hope is Edey becomes one but he freaking sucked in the World's last summer so I don't think he would have made a big difference. Either way Edey wasn't allowed to play by the Grizz.

Can we please put this to bed? NBA teams cannot stop players from playing for their country. It's a player choice. Yes, the teams can certainly pressure a player but Edey was a lotto pick and had enough juice to say fuck off.
