  • Golden State star Stephen Curry said. "We obviously hope that he has all the right information, the access to the right resources to ask all the questions he has on making that decision. We hope he's available. We hope he moves in the right direction. My opinion is, obviously I got [vaccinated] and am ready to be available and following the mandates and whatnot. But that's kind of where it is, and in the next coming weeks and how it all plays out is gonna be entirely up to him

In other words .. Stop looking into your conspiracy websites

Just because it makes media outlets money doesn't make it not insane.
Not the media's job to protect the NBA from bad PR, especially when they're just reporting what the players are doing on a topic that's on everybody's mind. I'm not following where the insanity is. Are we advocating for censorship?

People will advocate for literally anything when it comes to COVID-19. Censorship, banning people from work, quarantine camps, banning protests, throwing people in jail, etc. Nothing else matters and regard to any other considerations are not only immaterial or irrelevant but insane and evil. Censoring media is probably the least bad thing being advocated.

A request for proportional coverage is hardly censorship.

So it's non-proportional coverage to report that a non-trivial contingent of NBA superstars & role players could miss ALL games in at least the states of New York and California? That would be front-page sports news, regardless of the reason; but in this instance, it happens to be connected to the most relevant news topic of the last 2 years.

And nobody was saying a whole lot about the NBA vax situation until Wiggins, Kyrie and the Rolling Stone article came out. I'm not seeing the dis-proportionate coverage. The Kyrie/Wiggins news is attention grabbing, because of it's impact on the games, not because the media outlets are only reporting NBA anti-vaxxers. From somebody who follows NBA newsfeeds everyday, that's simply a false representation of what's being covered. NBA news has been pretty quiet this off-season, except for the Ben Simmons saga (which I love).

Report the news by all means, but don't turn it into a platform for Wiggins and Irving to encourage people to not get the vaccine based on their "scientific" research.

Just say that some very highly paid players haven't taken the vaccine yet and won't be able to play games because of it. They don't even need to name the players involved since it's a medical issue.

If we're going to be taking quotes or giving them press conferences let's give the 90%+ NBA players who did get the vaccine the same opportunity. Unfortunately the poor communities here actually listen to guys like Iriving and Wiggins and they're the ones disproportionately dying of covid now because they aren't vaxxed yet. If Wiggins gets Covid he'll get the full Joe Rogan treatment with monoclonal antibodies and everything but the kitchen sink. If Joe NBA fan who makes $25K per year gets covid he's not getting any of that, he's getting waitlisted at the hospital because we don't have enough ventilators or ICU beds.

Not sure which articles you’re reading but Wiggins & Kyrie completely shut down any questions about their vaccine status on media day. Nobody is using it as a platform to push an anti-vaxx agenda. If anything the media is making them, especially Kyrie, look like idiots or troublemakers for not getting vaxxed. That’s kind of what you want, right?

NBA has announced that players won't be paid for games missed due to local vaccine mandates .. So we will see how passionate these players are when it hits their pocket books .

Great news. We won't see him in TO till after Christmas I recall. Might have that wrong though.

He's got a lot of skill for an 18-year old rookie. Looks smooth as a vet.

Nate is basically nicks personal assistant at this point. They even had to give him a co coach because he went to indy and let the power get to his head
