An incredible list of guys who have committed to the program and will be available to play next summer. All respect to the guys who got it done in Edmonton. Never had a run of 10 and zero before. And the great and committed players just keep on coming. Oh. Tip of the hat to Vince Carter who started it all. For better or worse, the Carter Effect is real and has been a big boost to basketball in this country.
I think Kassius ROBERTSON might get a chance . He is a 3 point specialist ..

ARGENTINA only beat BAHAMAS by 4 points . And so teams like Argentian aren't sending a strong team .
It is possible we can finish pretty strong ..

I can't argue about 15th but " stay at 15 " . How can a team who is 10-0 in qualifying gain no spots?

We have gained points since the last rankings but not enough to pass the teams ahead of us. I dont think the qualifiers carry as much weight other major championships.

I look at who is ahead of us I can't argue but put SGA in starting guard position and we are a top 10 team .

I still think we need to develop some added frontcourt depth to compliment a growing guard and wing rotation. Olynyk is a great FIBA option, and Dwight Powell provides some solid minutes. Both guys are in their early 30s. It would be nice to see some more established young bigs that fit the timeline of guys like SGA, Jamal Murray, Barrett and even Wiggins. We have some solid NBA rookies this year, but they are al guards.

Will Edey be a good National Team option? Can a guy like Fardaws Aimaq make the jump (24 in January) in the future? The younger Bediako brother is having a decent start to the year with Alabama, his older brother seems to have found a spot in the rotation at Santa Clara as well.

A sleeper pick for the future could be Tyrese Samuel who plays for Seton Hall. He is starting in his senior year and is 6'10, 230. He shows some promise as a stretch big.

                • Nurse is used to 5 6'9 dudes on the raptors. He is going to have 5 guards on the floor if he plays the best 5 on the floor. SGA, Murray, Mathurin, Barrett, Wiggins, Brooks, NAW, Dort, Nembhard, Banton, etc. We are pretty stacked there.

Our front court is still thin. Guys like Olynyk are great, but guys guys like Clarke, Boucher, Birch and youngsters we haven't heard of yet, are going to have to step up. Really some of those dudes just have to show up.

Some of the guys that would usually play guard might have to play bigger too. Guys like Brooks, and Wiggins even Barret might be playing out of position.

Is Tristan Thompson retired? He was our best big man.

And where is Sim Bhullar at? Imagine making Shaq look small.

The FIBA game is different than the NBA game. With no defensive 3 second rule you can really clog the paint with a zone. We have the guys to score in transition and to spread the floor as shooters. We need one solid legit big to ballnce the roster. Willy Hermangomez anchored Spain to the Eurobasket championship and was MVP.

I must say having one of the best PG's in the World playing for your country makes a world of difference. Look what Steve Nash did with a bunch of role players. The way Nurse can teach defense may come into play a lot. The Greeks had a HOF big playing for them but that didn't get the team a Euro Title. All the NBA all star Bigs playing for their Euro team didn't get a Euro title.

Some could say that playing for the National team really helped with his adjustment to the NBA quickly . It seems he isn't on the core roster that have made an commitment for next summer's Worlds .
