Yeah, so even worse we lost to the Czech's.

Anyways if Shai and Murray play we're gonna destroy teams, could have us out there with them.
What Ive learned this season that should applied to team Canada if they both end up suiting:

Shai should get to be the focal point of the offense for the first 30 minutes and then the last 10 minutes of the game you give the ball to Murray and get the hell out the way.

    • YESsir this is the key! And he's confirmed that he's still playing basketball VIA his recent playoff action!

For the top level of basketball success this summer I think it is safe to say we #NEEDTRISTANTHOMPSON

      • Zach Edey has decided not to enter the NBA draft .. Good news for the National team cause that is a big body that we can use
this summer on the national team

        • I never thought I would be saying this, but I think I want Tristan Thompson to get a look with the National Team this summer. Not saying he makes the roster, but depending on who shows up he could be a valuable player in the big man rotation.

I was impressed with his breakdown of what he was trying to do to guard Jokic.

Tristian knows how to play against big men and would be very useful ..

He gives up a couple inches and a few pounds, but he does battle and bring some toughness that some of the others big lack.

              • I still wonder if Nurse will be our coach this summer ? He must have tones on his plate with getting familiar with his
roster and his assistances and draft pics coming in .. Nurse looks like a guy that the moment he took the job
his head is going through what he will be doing with this team . How focus will he be with team Canada

The games have been streaming on YouTube and I've caught some of the action. While they have been winning it has not been with any dominance or great play. They've done enough to advance but will need to clean things up of they want to get to the championship game.

A few guys that I noticed:

Kamai Samuels, 6'0", has some potential as floor general, nice motor decent vision, needs to put in work (lots) on his shot.
Quinten Ethier 6'3" has the making of a shooting specialist, still a little streaky but foundation is there.
Paul Osaruyi 6'8", solid frame and good rebounder, only turned 15 in at the end of February so is a year younger than most. Decent free throw shooter and shows a touch out to 3. Nice long term potential, especially if he grows another inch or two.

I think the team's play has gone in a upward trend since the first game don't you think ? They play Mexico at home next ( funny
                        Mexico got 2 consecutive Under 16 tournaments ) ..

They have looked much better than their fist game vs. Uruguay for sure. Will be nice to see them on Friday in front of a crowd. It's looked pretty sparse for fans. Mexico is 0-3 so maybe a good chance to work some more bugs out and be primed for the semi finals.

This is the 8th time this tournament has been held, 3 time in Argentina, 3 in Mexico, and once each in Brazil and Uruguay. Canada has medaled in every one, 3 silver and 4 bronze.

The U19 men's team in in Europe playing some exhibition games to prep for worlds.

Go to FIBA's You Tube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@FIBA/streams

They streamed all the group stage games, I am assuming they will do the cross overs as well.
