  • Game #12: Toronto Raptors 102 - Dallas Mavericks 110

It's a term that's thrown around a lot these day but I think it's fair to say that we may have "broken" the last team we played last season..

(note the team all the way to the left)
(and, for a good time, note the team way up in the top right)
    (courtesy of W. Lou)

I think it's also fair to say that we may have broken the last team we played this season.

    Did this....

    lead to this?

Maybe we should issue a word of warning to Dallas.....Hide your Doncic's

But with that said, some other fan base might look at this and say who's calling the kettle black?
    Are we not "broken"?

    I believe in Masai

As for the game, the Mavs are a funky bunch. They have an MVP caliber player in Doncic and they've lost to the knicks and they've lost to the knicks. I seem to remember we handled them pretty well last year until they went on a late run led by Luka to make it close. It looks like Anunoby is back for us this game so as long as a wandering bucking bronco doesn't get lost, stumble into the American Airlines Center and accidentally gouge OG, we should be ok. Should be a fun game and we haven't even talked about the Unicorn.
    Boucher v Unicorn...make it happen!

Just put RHJ on Doncic and we should blow them out by half time.

The Mavs are a super fun team to watch if you don't ultimately care about winning every night. Dark horse team to make an upset in the post season imo

Looking forward to this one, dallas is fun. Honestly though, not sure if its my fandom bias speaking, but this raps team is probably the funnest team to watch righ now. The style of play, pace, ball movement, siakams continued growth and the effort and execution defensively make for incredibly enjoyable and exciting basketball to watch. Most teams are boring and predictable.

Meant to post this in the Siakam thread but your post connects to it quite well so here it is. The SI Open Floor podcast is usually a little restrained in it's Raptors fandom but last week's show starts with pure Raptors porn on both Siakam and how fun the team is to watch. Worth checking out..

This team really highlights how boring the Casey/Lowry/DeRozan teams were with the excruciating walk it up half court iso predictability....imagine this team with better rebounding tho....

If we can restrict LeBron, Kawhi and Lillard, I have faith that Doncic will be our latest victim

Harden most points through first 12 games in 50 years. The threes he was hitting last night over and over were from Curry territory.

                          nah.

Someone’s gonna be crying about “janky defense.”

Good point, the poor rebounding is certainly limiting transition opportunities. Im a little disappointed in gasol in that regard.

Mavs favored by 6.5? The disrespect is real.
