To trade or not to trade

I'm still believing in my fake Capela/Tucker for Ibaka/filler/pick trade.

Helps save Houston money, but still get a guy that their stars would love to play with again. We get two guys who can play defense and grab boards. One who just recently played with us.

Serge has been playing great, but I'd still make this trade (filler being McCaw or SJ). Serge is gone after this year. Capela has a long term deal on a pretty reasonable cap hit. Tucker would be a great backup wing.

I am not trying to be a ass or anything but let OG and NORM get opportunities else where they are good players but they are not great fits. Matt Thomas, Davis are better fits. And whoever we get to replace norm og. They really don’t have a future here.

Assuming the Raptors keep rolling, are there any significant players on the last year of their contract playing for a team that is out of the playoffs? With the Raps rolling like they are, matching last year's record, with 165 man-games lost to injury and WITHOUT Kawhi and Danny, what are the chances a good player is available on the buy-out market? Or two.

I know the past numbers say that buyout guys don't have a very significant impact on a team's chances, but that is not the Raptors. That is not Nick Nurse. That is not a team led by Kyle Lowry. Picking up a couple of guys who are hungry for a chance at a chip, are veterans and with only the rest of the season or one year left should be doable...and the Raptors are showing that lightning can strike twice.

I like the sounds of Iggy but we'd have to give up powell and I don't think I'm ok with that with how good he's been lately. I really only think he's going anywhere this year via buyout. And if he's bought out he for sure isn't going to come to Toronto.

Memphis said they wont buy him out and will only trade him. They arn't going to let him go for free (which is smart). He will go for a 2nd rounder and salary if the offer is there. Alos Woj said dallas has an offer already. Memphis will see if someone can beat that offer and if not hes gonna end up in dallas.
Early in the year i would have done norm for iggy in a heartbeat, now its an overpay. Wonder if stanley,RHJ add up to enough salary to get him

In what universe is OG not a good fit for this team? He's a perfect fit. You can't have every player need the ball, and you definitely don't want Pascal stuck defending the opposition's best players.

IMHO way to many mental errors. The errors are correctable for most players I am not sure he can tho. That’s why bothers me and it’s not like nurse is benching to show him. He needs correction

OG is the perfect fit for us. Him and Siakam basically set up our defensive core for the next 5 years. LOw maintenance too; doesnt care about shots.

He's only been in the league 2 and a half years. And his development was severely stunted last year taking a bench role and dealing with personal things/ injury. Way to early to think he can't improve. He has an ideal NBA wing defender body that alone is worth alot.
