  • Just realized...

Atlanta traded Teague to Minny for Prince's draft rights (via Utah who got Hill).
Atlanta traded Prince for Crabbe and 2 first round picks.
Atlanta traded Crabbe to Minny for Teague and Graham.

So essentially Atlanta in a span of 4 years got 2 first round picks and Graham for free. Not bad.

And they still messed up with Doncic.

          My proposal:

McCaw for Vonleh, Bell and Minny's 1st (top 5 protected or something).

          LOL.

Sadly, that probably doesn't interest them.

But throw Powell in, and maybe...

Powell and McCaw for Dieng and Minny's 1st.

Then you go hunting for an Ibaka trade.

I'd do McCaw and Serge for Dieng and Covington. They get the "name". Even though he's a free agent, KAT might like that.

God, who wouldn't. Even with the 2021 cap complication from Covington you have to do that. Would be surprised if Minny wants to trade out that many of their rotation players.

Covington would fit with the Raptors culture. He's a 3&D player with more emphasis on defense than 3's, but can do both (although is struggling a bit this year at his 3 point shot). Dieng IMO is just as good as Serge. Perhaps even better, but just doesn't have the "name" in NBA circles like Serge has.

I doubt Minny does it. McCaw is garbage, and Serge is a UFA who will probably not resign in Minny after the year. Just wishful thinking on my part.

The real story here is how slim the pickings are in the trade market this year. When Robert Covington is the belle of the ball, we might be better off standing pat........ or simply waiving Pat.

im telling standing pat this year is not a bad idea.. even the free agent market will be weird cause no one wants too take on major long term deals... so you will see a bunch of 1 year mega deals.

No.. that ends the trading-for-Minnesota's-Jeff-Teague discussion. The trading-for-Atlanta's-Jeff-Teague discussion will commence shortly

                            • Stand pat. With everyone healthy this is a .700 ball club brimming with deep playoff experience with a ready-made 7-man rotation. Find the right 8th & 9th man in house (which they sure have in the fold already, just need to play them), and they'll make ECF or finals again.
