  • Serge is more versatile than TT and Capela - He's got an outside and midrange shot and also has become an improved passer from the the mid-post to the corners and to the top of the key. TT & Capela are rebound specialists and stuff at the rim, which is nice, but their game is a bit one-dimensional and that can comprimise the spacing. Unlike Serge, It'd be hard to play TT/Capela with players like RHJ or even McCaw (because of spacing).

I don't think we have any roster holes tbh. Flip the McCaw - Davis minutes around, keep OG as a strict 3&D/cutter (like he was on his rookie year) and we're golden. Obliviously, if there's a trade to be had for an all-star caliber player you go for it, but there's no indication there's one available. Every realistic move this year looks like swapping six for half-a-dozen.

        • Iggy is in his feelings I would let him riot on the bench the rest of the season

              • SPOILER ALERT:

Final couple of paragraphs of Eric Koreen's article on whether Raps should be active in trade action or not. I think I am onboard with this.

"Last year’s run was unforgettable, full of indelible moments and unbelievable displays of individual brilliance. It was also full of angst, provided by the unknown element Leonard’s future provided, as well as the knowledge of what the Raptors had sacrificed to make it so far.

There is none of that angst, none of that dread this year. This type of team really hasn’t existed before: a fun, plucky, overachieving defending champion. There is no negative baggage. It is a run-it-back season for which most Raptors fans never dared to hope.

We often say that the job of the front office personnel is to cut out sentimentality and make unemotional decisions about the future of the franchises they steward. More often than not, that is true. However, the Raptors — this specific group of players and coaches — are the rare example of a professional sports team that does not only emotionally repay their fans’ investment. They repay it, and then some. Let the Raptors try to be the exception they believe they are."

                  • Not sure how reputable that tweet is but Josh Hart would fit well on the team IMO. Good bench upgrade. He's only making $1.6M. Enough to fit into our TPE so could just give back a pick.

But what I find more interesting is that we're talking to New Orleans. They have a pretty good combo guard over there....

                      • If Massai made a crucial trade, then it will be only for the sake of the playoff. I do not think he is eyeing 2021 or so now as next season he will have his hands full of players with expired contracts.

i think he could be a great fit there in the low usage harrison barnes role actually, although he makes so much money they must be sending multiple picks. would be curious to see how he does in a competent organisation with lower expectations (in terms of his role i mean, not organizationally)
