Houston hung on over Philly but the Celtics won. Raps could to continue to lose pace against at least 2 of the top 4 in the conf , we really need a few players back.

I'm surprised we're not underdogs to many teams frankly. The Raps presently are Lowry and a bunch of guys named Moe or others who are decent but inconsistent....you can't be down your starting C, your top scorer and an important bench piece and continue to roll.

It sucks in a year where there is a lot of decent parity atop the Eastern conference

Thing is, they aren’t losing ground. 2-6 is still tight and every team is a small losing stretch from 6th or vice versa. Toronto is hanging in there even with the injuries. Just need to keep getting the winnable games.

Bucks, Celtics and Heat all have better records than the Raps in the last 10 games. That's the very definition of losing ground lol

And as I said, with the way the Raps are playing, they could continue to lose ground. Remarkable they haven't been by much.

Saw somewhere that raps have the easiest January schedule in the NBA. If we can get pascal back half way through the month we should be able to get into that 2-3 slot. No Marc or pascal for the whole month and we should be happy if were in the 4 hole

Extending range to "compete against bigger players"...you conveniently left that part out. But hey, you need to tell Nurse and FVV that's not necessary. Skills, size or context don't matter. Shooting is 100% noise and variance. That would save a heck of a lot of practice time.

Uhh... skills, size and context all matter. But you are assigning way too much credit to those things (and I'd say Fred is a pretty skilled shooter, no?) while completely ignoring the random noise element. Should Fred likely shoot worse over a large sample against lengthy dedicated defenders than against bad ones, even in scenarios where the defenders are further away? Yes, likely, by some small percentage. Should it be reasonable to expect him to shoot in the teens against said defences based on a few games of sample? No, that's silly.
