Yeah. DD is not signed until after the moratorium, and they'll have guys sign contracts in an order that makes sense. DD, last, basically, if they plan to use cap room. So at this point, nothing has changed at all with regard to how much cap space we have.

This is probably dumb or illegal, perhaps both and definitely late but.....what if demar picked up his option. 5 extra million freed up. Raps sign biz, buy out demar and renegotiate a better deal? Would they lose his bird rights if he were a free agent this way? It seems most definitely like circumvention, is it?

Can someone recap how "draft and stash" players impact the cap for next season?

If our guy at 27 plays a year in Europe is their a cap hold or can we use those funds towards Biyombo or someone else?

A draft and stash player can sign an agreement with the team that they won't be bringing him over this year, at which point his cap hold disappears and the cap clears a little. But keep in mind the 27th pick is only a 1M cap hold, so you aren't gaining much.

So, say, for example, Toronto traded Ross to Philly (or other non-cap team) for their (lotto-protected) 2017 1st round pick, and had renounced all free agents except for DD, would we have 15.3mil in cap space? Or am I missing something?
