  • Game #47: Atlanta Hawks 114 - Toronto Raptors 130

    Raps won again yesterday.
    A pretty impressive opening quarter.
In 25 years of Raptors history, no one has had a first quarter like Pascal.
He set a record by scoring just over

    points.

I guess the Spurs must have game planned for him from there.
If not, for the rest of the game he inexplicably scored only

    more points.

    Either way, we won.
After escaping with a win against the Knicks the other day,
Kyle prophetically (or more like eerie foreshadowing) said,
"A win is a win is a win"
Yesterday didn't feel like a win.
Probably not a win we'll remember

But since we did win, the streak goes on.
Atlanta comes to town to face the Raptors as
we look to continue and get win number

    RIP Kobe.
    His daughter.
And seven others we may not know well but somebody does.
    Peace.

Nice it's a home game as January is quickly drawing to a close. Hawks are a horrible team but they do have All Star Trae Young

Kobe didn't live to see himself enshrined in the HOF. I know that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but it sucks nonetheless. I’ve always been in favor of getting rid of the wait period in any sport. LeBron James should be voted on the day he hangs it up. Why let greatness wait? tomorrow is not promised.

I talked about Roy Halladay a couple of weeks ago. He retired in 2013, the Blue Jays should've retired his jersey the following season. Not after his death.

Tomorrow the Raptors will play Vince Carter's team. Carter will hang it up after this season. The Raptors should retire his jersey next year. He's going to get his jersey retired anyway right? why make him wait 5+ years?

I know this is a game thread but feel free to put in any Kobe thoughts as well. I always say sports writes the stories you couldn't even make up

Also crazy that the Lakers didn't have a game yesterday and don't have one today but then their game tomorrow is the LA/LA matchup. Even with the Clips having won both games so far, I feel like there might be some safe money on the Lakers

Yeah, I woke up today, and the first thing that crossed my mind was Kobe and his daughter, and their friends on board. That is not typical for me, usually my first thought is "what day is it" or "why do my knees hurt" or "fuck me I need a coffee"

I just can't bring himself to care any bit about the Hawks coming to town, at least not yet.

One of Kobe's best game winners of all time.

Gianna was born 2 days later..

I was thinking about Kobe for most of my morning before I went to work. Realized when I got to work that I forgot to bring my lunch. Lol I'm still thinking about Kobe and what happened. My focus is off

Kobe should be the new nba logo.

Agree. Him fading away. The all star MVP trophy should also be named after him.
