  • On a positive note, we did not lose ground, as all teams of importance lost as well

      • Every one on the team looked to have their head on the ASB tonight (except Serge), either thinking of the break itself or the events. There's a reason coaches say the most dreaded games are the ones right before and right after the ASB. The dang party game has a way of getting people out of their mojo.

And sit on the bench? We have enough PGs.

              • Can’t win them all. Good effort, just lacked focus and shot making. Stinkers happen, and frankly it’s astonishing we held that off so long with Gasol missing time (he makes both ends click).

                Great job JClaw.

                • That was an unfortunate loss.. was hoping to extend the streak by just one more game. Can't win em all though.

We fought.. you can see the guys really wanted it. But every time we made a play, the Nets found a way to do something on the other end. They either took an incredible bank shot at the rim, or a 3.

That 6-0 run to end the half for example described the entire ball game. Got it down to a 6 point game. Lowry then fouls Harris on a 3 point shot. He gets all three. Then Lowry brings up the ball and he loses it. Nets come back and hit another 3. They go back up 12.

Siakam was short on every shot attempt. He was missing bunnies at the rim. Lowry couldn't do anything (I mean he ended up with a triple double which was miraculous given the score). But to have 5 fouls at the end of the 3rd. You can yell at the refs, but a lot of those fouls were all on him.

We needed that bench spark, and we got nothing. TD who is usually giving us one or two threes couldn't hit a single one. Boucher was beyond useless. You could see Nurse's face when he bricked those 3's. McCaw was the usual. Love how Kyle grabs a board or steal on the defensive end.. throws a perfect hail mary pass to McCaw on the other end, and he gets stuffed at the rim. RHJ was our best bench player but he's going to only be able to do so so much.

15 wins in a row is still pretty fricken awesome. 10 on the road as well before last night.

We need the rest, and more importantly we need to get healthy. We're gonna most likely see the Nets again in the playoffs and I can't wait. That game last night requires some revenge. A 4 game sweep seems like the best form of revenge. F@ck Brooklyn!

                  • Well, it had to end sometime... rather it was the Nets than a truly meaningful game like w/Bucks or Celtics. Relax, Unwind and come back refreshed.

The Daily News in NY have on their front sports page "Nets best win of the season"!! Imagine that. Kind of reminds of how we felt when the Raps beat the Bulls & Jordan o so many years ago @ the Skydome er Rogers Centre. Wonder if Nets fans feel the same way? Haha.

                    • Richard Jefferson said on the Nets broadcast that when he spoke to Kyle at half time Lowry told him the team was completely gassed.

I think he'd be a great third point guard. We need another insurance pg. Ya he's not gonna play much but he's good insurance.

                        • The more PG's we have the less TD plays. Ennis would replace TD's minutes not McCaw's.

I'd rather get a 3rd big, for injury purposes. I mean we could have used another big body last night for example.. and we're most likely going to play the Nets in the first round. Hopefully Marc and Serge are both healthy, but let's not gamble that they will be.

You could see right from the start they didn't have it. Bad fouls, turnovers, offensive rebounds. That's what happens when you're tired. The boys wanted it and they tried but Brooklyn made plays and made shots to counter every mini-run.

It's been coming, too. They stole that first Indiana game and hung on Saturday against the Nets. But there has always been a productive energizing performance from someone: Davis, RHJ, Anunoby. Those guys didn't have it in them last night and the main guys had nothing left.

Hopefully this week off gets Gasol enough rest and he's back, so that everyone else's minutes aren't quite as hard.

Just a tiny example of the type of insight that Jack Armstrong, Matt Devlin, Leo Rautins, Eric Smith, Paul Jones, Sherm Hamilton, Grange, Lewenberg, etc... would rarely, if ever, get from players during a game. It's a pretty important insight and Lowry probably wouldn't let his guard down and reveal something like that if he wasn't talking to a former player who he respects.

Obviously it's difficult to get the right type of personality (Mo Pete, lol), but I'd love to have a recent former player or coach as our analyst. Raps need to up our local broadcast game to world class.
