first thoughts are that they're not cancelling the season because of a fear of the virus. it's just that how can you now play a season when two (or more) full teams have to be in quarantine for the next two weeks? Wouldn't be surprised if they call the season, let this play out and then still do the playoffs just based on today's seeding.

Edit: just to confirm..the wording is that they are "suspending" the season, not cancelling it
