regardless, if that's the course they take it's a chickenshit move from one of the worst ownership groups in the history of professional sports. they have amassed an unheard-of asset base, and could absolutely build a contender while reloading talent around the periphery to keep it going for a decade. instead they'll blow it up cuz they're cheap.
not that it's surprising, they traded a top 20 all time player to duck the tax before. i'd fucking hate to be a thunder fan. worse, i'd hate to be a sonics fan and have had my franchise stolen by that group.
no respect for the thunder.

Thunder had the highest luxury tax bill in the NBA last year and paid the tax at least 4 times in recent memory. The youth movement was going to come.
I actually like Chris Paul though he makes them better and will teach the kids a lot. Some interesting CP trades are possible with Mil or Philly.
