I'm glad he's leaving Houston, they've really tried everything they could to make his system work there. However, I just can't think of another NBA team with the roster to make that system work any better. GS is probably the only one. I don't get the Philly consideration at all.
Rockets best shot was 17-18 where they had GSW on the ropes, then Paul got hurt and they collapsed in that Game 7. And, in fairness, they fell prey to playing at the same time as one of the greatest teams of all time. If the Warriors aren't around, Houston and Harden probably have 1 or 2 championships.

            • I know the basketball Gods want a battle of L.A. in the WCF, but man I really want the Nuggets to beat the Clippers tonight. Just stop that Kawhi hype train before it gets any further, please and thank-you!

Siakam and Norm have both proven able to create their own shot. Its easy to just think of the struggles in the bubble, but I didn't forget that they were both having career years and humming along this season.

Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. This team had an all time bad performance from the guy who was supposed to be our usage leader, and still came within one possession of advancing to the ECF
On the move, and especially in transition, but not in the half-court. At least not efficiently. Going into the playoffs, we already knew that was our Achilles heels. There was this idea that the Lowry-Siakam pick & roll was a potential workaround, but we hardly saw that.

                  This is Pascal's problem.
He lacks fundamentals, relies on athleticism.

That's not a "problem", that's a fact for a guy who started playing at 17 years old. In fact, that's a good thing. His fundamentals are growing, athleticism can't be taught. Let him continue to develop and be happy with our ever improving asset

And what of Luca? Ah yes, basketball lifer surrounded by it. Crazy.

Dončić was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia to Mirjam Poterbin, an owner of beauty salons,[3]and Saša Dončić, a basketball coach and former player

According to his family, Dončić first touched a basketball when he was seven months old and was frequently playing with a miniature hoop in his room by the age of one.[4][9] He played various sports in his childhood, including football, which he later quit after growing too tall.[10] At age seven, he began playing organized basketball at primary school in Ljubljana.[9][11] His opponents at the time were up to ten years old, as Dončić reflected: "I was always training and playing with older kids who had much more experience than me. Many of them were bigger and faster than me too, so I had to beat them with my brain.

                    • doc rivers knows what the clippers need to do for game 7 - they need an even friendlier whistle.

"There's no secret like potion that something happened"... "The one thing that did stand out, they went to the free throw line like on every play." "I think from the time when Murray went down with that injury," Rivers added of the Nuggets shooting 12 of 16 free throws in the third after the Clippers led by 19. "I think that's human nature. You see a guy go down, there's no call on the play, and then the next thing you know you're at the free throw line.
nevermind the FT advantage the clippers have enjoyed overall in the series and in the majority of games so far, or how badly they've been killed with harrell guarding jokic. they just need more calls. or non-calls, defensively.

they'll get it too because i can't envision a non LA-LA western conference final.

i have never liked doc rivers

Everybody knows clippers win tonight. Nuggets are the tier 2 challenger that Is allowed to take you to game 7, but will never win the series. I'd bet my mortgage on it

oh i know, which is why it's so uncouth that he's already on the officials before the game's even started yet. especially when they've got the whistle the majority of the series.

Rivers knows how to get his 6th, 7th & 8th men ready for a big game.

by preemptively asking for calls? personally i'd have more respect for him if he made the obvious adjustment to play his 9th man over his 6th or 7th, depending on which you think harrell is
