I just learned something random about the Raptors today. Apparently, Samuel L. Jackson is a huge Raptors fan? how the hell did he became a Raptors fan?
He use to show up at a lot of the Raptors games during the VC era, but disappeared during the loooong stretch when we were an awful team.

Mike James, a career 10 ppg guy, having a single 20 ppg season at age 30 was absolutely hilarious. The ultimate "anyone in the NBA cam get 20 if you give them the shots" season. Good for him.

The Raptors were so bad. Mike James coming in and being a 20 ppg guy on your team was actually an embarrassement.

Giannis,Ja, Nurse should be locks. Other 3 will be more interesting.

MIP is probably between Ingram, Tatum & Doncic.

Ingram or Bam.. and I'm leaning towards Bam.

                      • Here are my selections:

                        MVP - Giannis
                        COY - Nurse
                        ROY - Morant
                        DPOY - Giannis
                        MIP - Bam
                        6MY - Harrell

They also have one called the Hustle Award which went to Marcus Smart last year. I hope Lowry gets that one this year.

I dont like giving it to 2nd and 3rd year players those guys are supposed to improve. I'd say bam, ingram, oubre would be my nominees probably but I could be forgetting someone

                              • bam to me is biggest no brainer of all the awards. people can argue bud or spoelstra for COY or lebron for MVP, they're wrong but there'll be arguments for it. but bam should be unanimous. his case is as iron clad as siakam's last year.

of course i subscribe to the theory that top picks in their first few years are ineligible. that award should never go to players seen as future franchise players on draft night.

most will say morant is the biggest no brainer but zion is so much better than him ppl are going to be looking at his BR page 20 years from now and be like "wait he didn't win ROY? who the fuck won ROY that year?"
