There's no consistency among the players because you have guys like Trae Young and Zach Lavine who were pissed off that their teams didn't even meet the 22-team cutoff to get into the bubble. There's no pleasing everybody here.9 time first team all-RR, First Ballot Hall of Forum

Isn't the idea of the "bubble" that it makes no difference how good or bad the COVID situation is outside since there's zero or little movement from outside to in? It's their own isolated world for 3 months....

They didn't really try to please anyone though, did they? Its not like they brought in a player rep from each team to a conference call, told them the proposal and then sent them off for team votes on who wants to play. This should have been the first thing they did and instead that never even happened.

Nah. Role players need to STFU and do what Lebron tells them. It’s been a recipe for success. If marquee guys like Lebron actually got paid relative to the revenue they generate, then 90% of the league would be making G-League salaries. Stay in yo lane.To be the champs you got to beat the champs

The thing is role players are going to be the most affected if they don't play. If they cant recoup some tv revenue the cap is going to go down even further. The top 20 players are still going to get there maxes then their will be less left over for the role players

If the league tried to give them g league pay they would simply go overseas and get paid a lot more. Without the roleplayers the league is a joke. They all need to be elite athletes just to make this current NBA. Bron is the elite of the elite.
then you get the malcolm Miller's and Aaron grays. They are essentially movie extra who walks by the screen for a split second. You didn't even know they existed, unless you're an extreme movie buff. But in movies, those guys get like $50 bucks and free lunch. In the nba, they're millionaires with the same player association vote as Brad and Leo.9 time first team all-RR, First Ballot Hall of Forum

This is an example where free decision making based upon regular incentives would naturally solve the problem, but unions muck it up.
Wanna play? Come in, get paid, help the league (and by extension all players), get the appreciation of fans and promote you brand.
Don't want to play? Stay home and forfeit the above.
For the teams that lost players, let them call on their g-league affiliates. If there's enough of them around, maybe one of them will hit a couple of timely 3's on a key playoff game and get an NBA opportunity, as a fitting reward for wanting to do what others didn't want to.
