Do you even watch the games or do you just use season averages and box scores? The Blazers came out in a must-win game with zero defensive intensity and almost lost it at the buzzer because of that. There's a reason why the Nets shot a great percentage and it's because the Blazers had no intention playing defense yesterday. It wasn't just "luck". That's on coaching for not having them ready or for not taking the opposition seriously.

Even on open shots, players will not make all their shots. We know this. There is real, uncontrollable variance in how many of the opponents' contested and open shots they make on any given night. The Blazers gave up a lot more open shots than they should have and that is why the game was so close. At the same time, they could give up exactly as many open shots to the Nets and most nights they do that they will win by more.

Dumars is getting an interim executive VP title, so not permanent. Still a rather odd choice considering how bad Dumars was in Detroit before he got fired there. But it is the Kings and they really could screw up a one car parade.

Yeah I think they themselves were expecting to miss playoffs after that trade - Crowder was huge for them and Anderson is ... not. Not sure I like their wing rotation long term, not sold on any of them.

Yes, they need another playmaker. They have a really nice bigs rotation when JJJ (plus JV and Clarke) is healthy but Brooks isn’t good enough as a running mate for Morant.
