Raptors made soooo many of them look like idiots last season, and followed that up by doing the same this year.
Whoa, hold up. You mean an American MSM approved Superstar plus being located in an American MSM approved big market is not the only way to win a chip?

    • Here's a good one.

      • Jalen says the Raptors won't beat the Bucks because they don't have a Superstar. Jacoby agrees.
      • Jacoby says the Heat will beat the Bucks because they can shoot threes and have "superstar" Jimmy Butler. Jalen Rose does not disagree.

There is a scenario where this is true!

If the Heat beat the Bucks because they can shoot threes and have superstar Jimmy Butler, then the Raptors won't (or rather can't) beat the Bucks, because they'll be playing the Heat in the ECF.

The Heat also have a certified Giannis-stopper in Bam. They are pretty much built to beat the Bucks.

          • It's not just the lack of a superstar, it's the superstar whistle that your fighting and usually good for 5-10 points against you before you even start.....all you had to do was watch the Clip game last night

Didn't Giannis score like 33 on him in their one bubble game? You need a team strategy to stop Giannis.

I thought the Mavs lost the game with the turnovers early and overall sloppy play. Chalk it up to jitters? Dug themselves into a hole that's tough to overcome against an upper tier team. Doncic is phenomenal but even he can't overcome that 0-14 start or whatever was at age 21. Sure, they came back but it took so much effort. It reminded me of all those old time Raptors squads from that past in the playoffs.

True but a lot of these jokers indirectly shit on Kyle all the time with these comments. I'd take Kyle over Jimmy any day of the week. What has Jimmy done in a team environment except piss off his teammates everywhere he's gone?

                    • If Raptors beat Celtics and Bucks. It will definitely be because of defense. It'll be an interesting to see. How far can defense take you

But they were up when the turning point happened: the Porzingis ejection that completely changed the game. That was an awful decision by the officials, in particular in that circumstance. Porzingis is a tough cover for LA and the refs bailed the Clips out at that point.

Its tough to hang a game on one call like that. The Mavs beat themselves, made the Clippers' job significantly less difficult.

Hard to use that game as measuring stick because the Heat were without Butler and Dragic.

Mavs were up 5 when he left and were outscored by 13 rest of the way and their offense almost completely collapsed (3-19 from 3PT range). Absolutely the bad start hurt them but they were winning and then a huge in-game event occurred and they got run over.

Doncic gets all the credit and he is awesome but Porzingis is incredibly important for Dallas. Losing him at at that time mattered far more than any other statistic.
