Bucks defense gives up the big man mid-range pick & pop on almost every possession. Bud believes in his system and he won't adjust his defense to counter that. Serge and Marc will need to hit their shots.
Coach Bud seems like he has a touch of the Casey gene in him ?

He has his plan and he isn't coming off it.

Serge is a good shooter from the midrange elbow. There was a point last year (maybe the year prior?) that he led the league in FG% from the right elbow, most of which clean and balanced shots following pick and pops initiated by Lowry.

Marc on the other hand, I never seen shoot from there as a Raptor. For Marc, it's propably better if he pops beyond the 3pt line around the top of the key. There would be lots of shots for him available there, and he would probably hit them at a decent clip if he attempted them. He usually passes up those shots to a more closely guarded wing around him though, or holds the ball there looking for a cutter.

The cutter won't be there against the bucks very often though, they pack the paint and dare you to be efficient from 3, so if we pass up open looks from 3 we'd be doing exactly what they want, and our offence would be all mucked up

Elton Brand must be looking over his shoulder as well as he is the architect of the cap hell non meshing roster Brown couldn't get to work outside of the Wells Fargo centre.

I heard there was a sharing agreement between Brown and Brand.
Looks like Brand bringing in Jimmy and Trey were good moves until Brown soured on both.
Horford is looking like a Brown move too.

The US ratings overall are down, though, some are saying the lower ratings for the day games are driving that. Won't know how the ratings are doing until all the games move into the evening. The conference finals and finals are also going to run into football which will be death for the NBA ratings.

The larger issue is the trend. Compare the ratings to 10, 15 years ago.

I don't think pointing to the Toronto market tells you anything about NBA ratings other than the Raptors increased in popularity after winning a title, which should happen.

People hate to see politics in sport, that's plain and simple.

But there aren't any politics in the NBA I'm not sure what you mean

                      • Anybody out there see this stat. My daughter sent it to me without including a link.

Top 8 players in the bubble in terms of +/- during the playoffs to this point:
                        1. Norm
                        2. Serge
                        3. Kyle
                        4. Jayson Tatum
                        5. OG
                        6. Fred
                        7. Bam
                        8. Pascal
                        Seems unbelievable.

Well one thing for sure now that Brown has been relieved of his duties......
The microscope is now firmly and solely on Embiid/Simmons and one Elton Brand.

Its really hard for me to reconcile that Paul George is this cold and this out of sorts. Still see him as the guy who by himself almost beat the Raps in a 7 game series that ushered in Playoff Norm. Who knows maybe he turns it around in games 5 6 and 7 and the Playoff Paul smarm stops.

If he doesn't and the Clips lose the series....Sam Presti just one upped Danny Ainge on the most one sided trade of the last 30 years.
They have a really good player in Gilgious-Alexander and can if they want hang on to Gallinari. They also got what seems like 10 first round picks to 2026... with some pick swaps mixed in later in progression. That could really really sting.
