Don't forget Lou ! GV/Lou/Landry/2Pat/Hayes. Thats probably one of the best benches in East

Why don't we see how TRoss develops this year - the age group of JV ,DD and TRoss is a very rare blend of talent. The bench of GV JJ, and PP is sufficient. Personally , would like to keep Amir Johnson as a backup center on a 3/17 million after this year. In 2015 resign a upper level PF for around 4/46 .
The 2015 1st round pick should be for a Pg to replace GV as a backup in the following year. Additionally, a SHooting Guard for extra offense similar to what Lou Williams will be required to do this year.

Every second one is Raptors 2016.

    lol

Dude is going to have a very difficult 2 years.

Will probably make LeBron's lead up to 2010 look mild in comparison.

We're building a contender. If memory serves, we were the #3 team in the East. If we win the Atlantic again, we're assured homecourt in the first round. There's so much parity compared to last season that reaching the ECF is a realistic goal. Stop hugging Durant's jock. The guy's under contract for at least 2 more years. Two more years if pining away over Durant? Seriously?

Washington hired his high school assistant coach. and KD is extremely loyal to his mentors as evidence by the number he wears.

Lebron went home DESPITE knowing the management. Although besides Gilbert I'm not sure what other relationship he would have with that new rookie coach and GM.
LeBron went back for Iguaskas' number retirement. Varejao is still on the team. He and Gilbert were together for five years. This includes all of the people surrounding LeBron all of whom were part of the Cav organization. Durant is from Washington but he doesn't have the ties that LeBrton had. If Cleveland didn't draft LeBron he might never have returned.

No relationship with Wizards management. LeBron knew people in the organization, Durant doesn't. If Washington is .500 in 2016 then their chances of landing Durant would be worse than OKC.

But it's his hometown? Sure, he hasn't played for them, but there's still quite a lot of incentive for him to go back.

Isn't but he never played for Washington as a pro. LeBron returning is different than Durant. Durant has no relationships with the Wizards as a player.

how is 'KD going back to his home city" ala lebron outside the realm of possibility? especially with the wizards on the rise and arguably way closer to contending than the cavs were before lebron re-signed.

Melo went for the money. Bosh resigned to a city he likes. LeBron went back to the first city who drafted him and his home city. If Durant has to choose between OKC or a non- top 2 team he'll go back to OKC and make the max. Taking less money for a non - top team makes little sense.

I'd respectfully disagree. 'Melo, Bosh, and Lebron all just shunned teams with better records for teams with worse records (or about to have worse records, in Bosh's case), for a variety of reasons. KD will believe he'll be able to take a number of decent teams over the top, not only the top couple seeds.

The only teams that have a good chance will be top two each conference. Outside chance top four. That means only 8 teams have a chance and not all will have cap space or the upside. Teams outside the top four seeds have no chance.

A ton of teams are opening up cap space for 2016. A ton. "We've got cap space, a promising core, and a franchise KD kind of likes!" sounds like it describes several teams already.
