    100%..

It is quite the collection of eclectic personalities that Jerry West has compiled on that team. Maybe it all goes away when they lace up and hit the floor and the only thing that matters is winning but (and there is always a but ) that is one interesting cocktail they have there.

Lou Williams put last years edition of the team on notice that they matter less than a trip to the rippers in Atlanta. Patrick Beverley has milked his "competitor nonpareil" act to the extent people overlook that he makes some pretty selfish decisions on the floor to protect that tough guy reputation at the expense of the game unfolding. The timely double tech and all. With Reggie Jackson next man up at the 1 guard that has to stop. Add in a Morris twin on the roster and you can see the cracks in the fuselage that if there is enough pressure ... they split.
A team with a strong culture can take on 1 or 2 more problematic guys and help them succeed, but filling your locker room with questionable character guys is something very different. That was the Clippers' problem last year and I don't think they've solved it. Their 2 best players still aren't leaders who can handle that. Ibaka might help a bit, but the gap is absolutely widened between the two LA teams.

Remember how last preseason a Clippers championship was a sure fire thing because Kawhi was a walking chip? Man the Raptors helped him look good.

          • With Lebron getting that extension.. might make it tougher for them to get a 3rd star (like Giannis) next off season.

              Interestingly, Lebron agrees. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/l...-his-own-name/

Even the middle name? Sheesh. No ego there.

                      • I read that entire Athletic article and don't see it mentioned anywhere that Kawhi was remorseful of his decision there.. Someone will have to quote the article for me for proof. I think Hoop Central made that up unfortunately.

Well, it would have been plain to see for anyone else in the world so....

Tiger named his daughter Sam Alexis Woods (not short for Samantha) and his son Charlie Axel Woods. No Tiger in the way.

Muhammed Ali was married four times: to Sonji Roi, Belinda Boyd (who later changed her name to Khalilah), Veronica Porsche, and finally Lonnie. He had nine children, most famously Laila Ali, who went on to become an undefeated boxer herself. Ali had no children with his first wife, Roi; with his second wife, Boyd, he had four children: twins Jamillah and Rasheda, Maryum, and Muhammad Ali, Jr. He also reportedly had two children with women outside of his marriages: Khaliah and Miya.
When he married Porsche in 1977, they went on to have two children: Hana and Laila. Nine years later, they had divorced, and Muhammad had married Lonnie; they had one child, Asaad, whom they adopted.

Gretzky had 5 children (who knew?)
Paulina the tramp, famous for being famous (and her bikinis), Ty who went on to be a mediocre hockey player but unsaddled by his father's first name, Trevor a mediocre baseball talent and Tristan a pretty good golfer but meh. Finally a daughter Emma who is supposed to be a good tennis prospect.

But for better or worse, Bonds was a Jr and so were the Griffey's, Gwynn's, Ripkens and Alomars, Bichette's and Guerrero's so what do I know?

Then of course the ultimate in George Foreman.
Per Wiki, Foreman has 12 children: five sons and seven daughters. His five sons are George Jr., George III ("Monk"), George IV ("Big Wheel"), George V ("Red"), and George VI ("Little Joey"). On his website, Foreman explains, "I named all my sons George Edward Foreman so they would always have something in common. I say to them, 'If one of us goes up, then we all go up together, and if one goes down, we all go down together!'"[42] As with his father, George III has pursued a career in boxing and entrepreneurship. George IV appeared on the second season of the reality television series American Grit, where he placed seventh.[43][44]

His seven daughters are Natalia, Leola, Freeda, Michi, Georgetta, Isabella, and Courtney. Natalia and Leola are from his marriage to Mary Joan Martelly. His daughters from separate relationships were Freeda, Michi, and Georgetta.

                          So lebron? Have at it.

Prior to the playoffs (and then including after) I have a hard time believing he had one second of regret. They were winning at a record pace, he got all the health management he wanted and they were chip favourites. And the weather!

                              • but that is not mentioned in the athletic article.

Still 100% true. Clippers are trash.
