Lowry is not eligible for extension. I'm afraid best bet would be to trade him at trade deadline to a contender. Maybe they'll throw a young guy with a late first round pick? Not much but something

To be honest I don't think adding Beal or Gobert really puts us into contention territory. We lost too much when Marc and Serge left to make up for with a tier 2 star.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy about adding one of those guys.
What I find myself excited about the most is seeing if Flynn turns into something special, or if TD, OG, or Pascal breakout. I don't think I'd be bummed out if the team took a step back rebuilt around our young players.

I'm all in on Gobert if he is remotely getable. Gobert anchoring a defense with OG and Siakam would be unreal.

Umm. I love Marc, and Serge is cool. But Gobert is better than both of them by a long shot. Marc is a Tier 2 star. Serge is not even that. Gobert is Tier 1 by every metric possible.

Yep. 2019 Raps are the 2011 Mavs and Lowry is our Dirk. It’s a decent analogy, except for Kawhi. We should keep moving pieces around Lowry until the wheels come off, and we find our Luka. Everybody else on this roster is trade bait.
Draft him and his dad will come over to realize his dream of them playing together.

Why I also think that the “ fast track†development of Malachi Flynn from now until the mid season deadline is of utmost importance. Only to know if this franchise can afford to lose Van Vleet. His salary is significant enough to pad a trade package in acquiring another star to pair with Siakam.

Either one concept is financially possible to acquire a Gobert?
Depends on his price. If he's up near the max as I'd expect, you have to lose an OG or a Fred to make room. But if they can swing it so he comes via SnT, anything is possible, if still tricky.

Like, in FA next summer to play alongside Harden?

Its good Giannis stayed loyal to his team. Good for the game.
im happy with the team we have now. In the mix. With some noticeable improvement from a few players or a few tweaks by masai we’re there. Nothing wrong with that
lowry is the heart. Needs to retire here. Flynn looks great. We have two very good sgs in matt and td. Fred and powell are the odd men out imo. Gobert would be a great addition to this team
