Too bad. Would have liked to see him on the Raptors. I thought we'd have a good shot in free agency if he didn't sign an extension. It is what it is. On the bright side, having Giannis go into free agency and sign elsewhere after all of the hope and suspense would have been much worse.

Do we give up the cap-space ghost and extend OG?

Or do we keep the .... OLADIPO 2021/2022 DREAM ALIVE... (buh)
I would say you keep the cap space. You never know what disgruntled star will emerge or what team that falls short might look to make big changes, so flexibility in the form of space to absorb money can't hurt.. If nothing big emerges you can go from there.

Would be pretty interesting to be a fly on the wall in the Raptors war-room right now.

(... if I could pry myself away from the top of Mike Pence’s head.)

Damn that hurts. Really felt we had a good chance there and Masai knew something the rest of us didn't.

At least Lowry can be a Raptor lifer now.

Oladipo is the most overrated player in the NBA. I'd rather extend McCaw to a 10 year contract extension than sign Oladipo to a ridiculous amount of money.

We needed max room for Matt Thomas anyway. Oh well.
Giannis can't shoot like Matt, so we have that.

I was on the Harry Giles train as well. Front row.
That the price tag was an incredibly low one year prove it million dollar deal really stings. Especially when Stanley is going to get 3.2M for a deep deep bench role. I can only guess that because he doesn't shoot the three (and thats a must in Nurses system) thats why we passed.
    Or,
Harry said he didn't want to play here.

Still.. a mil for a 22 year old athletic 5.
    It is what it is.
The Kings and Blazers were in the same hotel in the bubble. He admired how well they interacted and competed, and wanted to join them. I'm not sure if the Raptors ever called him or his agent, but he may have had made his decision up already.

Did I hear correctly that Houston just traded for Lou Williams?
I haven't seen or heard anything. Where did you hear that?
