So didn't take long for Kyrie drama to hit the Nets. How long until a new Durant burner hits the news?
Nash already sounds like he's had enough of Kyrie.

But you had to be at least as good (as far as playoffs results go) or get BETTER than last year to likely attract Giannis, no?

So his plan was to let Gasol and Serge walk and get better by signing Baynes and Len? Really?
I don't think so. The selling point was going to be "we have a tremendous supporting cast but lack YOU." Not "we are fine without you, how you feel about being a joiner?" They had to be decent to be on the radar, but they never had to be a finalist to have a shot.

I feel like Kyrie has sniffed that the Nets are actually going for Harden.

And he is part of the deal.

        • If they cancel the season they better stick with the current draft order.

They've cancelled just under 5% of the games, so my guess is they'll try to make those up at the end, which should take only a couple of weeks. Problem will be if the player infection rate starts going exponential, like it is prone to do without social distancing, etc....

              • Would any team take a chance on Kyrie? He's got a max deal with 3 years left.. and is a locker room cancer. He's a good player when he plays and focuses on just playing.. but that seems like a tall task lately.

Believe it is 2 years after this season but your point stands. If he can't be bothered to show up and play with Durant and a potential Finals contender then why would he show up for your team?

I think Brooklyn is stuck with him but maybe someone rolls the dice.

There will always be teams willing to take a chance. Clippers were the first team that came to mind, but there are others like Phoenix (once CP3 leaves) and bottom dwellers like SAC, CHI etc that just want to create some buzz and put fans ... eventually, in seats. As much as every team wants to say the are putting a winning product out there, some just need to sell tickets.

                    • Looks like it'll be Harden to Philly for Simmons/Maxey based on a Marc Stein tweet.

For someone as soft as Kyrie, must have hurt him so much coz he was the one who brought his bff to the Nets only to be traded for his bff's other bff.

                        • Harden, Kyrie and KD would be a mess.

                          • Well, Harden saying his teammates aren't good enough effectively forced Houston's hand. Not to mention that he's clearly been going through the motions. None of that is fair to the other players or the team's fans.

Getting Simmons would be a great return for the Rockets.

                            • It's looking more and more like Harden to Philly.. With Simmons going to Houston. And from chatter seems like they are negotiating on players like Thybulle/Maxey/etc.
