Kevin Porter Jr. might get released by Cavs. Talented player. But he punched a woman and got arrested for weed and guns at one point. It didn't stop our organization before. So should Raps go after him?
As someone already said we have a Terrance Davis already, this kid maybe better tho. But it’s a rule going forward we are not allowed to draft or sign or trade for any player that is under 6’5 without shoes.

Bobby sucks at his job this year

Are the Knicks a playoff team? 6-8 on the season, but they blew away the Celtics last night, and are up 9 right now against the Magic a few minutes into the 3rd quarter.

Thibs is doing a good job with that roster and could be the COY if he keeps it up.
The shortened season definitely plays to Thibs advantage given how much run he gives his players. Like most Thibs teams, it'll come down to if the players getting huge minutes can sustain their health, I think.

        So one through five its
The Bucks, The Chowders, The Nets, The Sixers and the Pacers.
Assuming that the Heat and the Raps sober up and get it going starting with the next 15 to 20 game stretch that would lbring them up 6 and 7.
Unless you feel that one of those 7 is going to fall out of the hunt ( I don't right now) that leaves the Knicks with 8 and the playin 9th spot.

Its between the Hornets / Hawks / Bulls and Knicks.
        4 teams for two chairs.
Why not ? Barret is playing well for them and they picked up that PG Quickley in the 20s in the draft who is really really good.

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

          Again, from Hoopsrumours:

After replenishing their stash of first-round picks by acquiring four first-rounders (and four more potential pick swaps) in their deal sending James Harden to Brooklyn, the Rockets are reportedly looking to stockpile second-round picks if they move forward P.J. Tucker.

League sources tell Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer that the Rockets are currently demanding three second-round picks in return for Tucker, who has been receiving trade interest from teams around the NBA.
3 second round picks? Not a chance

I can say with just about 100% certainty that the Raps won't go after him. They place an awful lot of emphasis on their brand and community values and they can't dealt with the Davis issue which would surely be rehashed over and over if they signed Porter.

I think some of that is overblown.. Randle is their best player and got 39 minutes last night and is averaging around 37. That's not that crazy when we've seen Lowry/Fred get over 40 consistently on this team. Randle is only 26 years old.

I don't watch many Knicks games.. but from what I can see they have lowered their turnover rate, and are playing much better defense. That's a winning formula no matter what kind of talent you have on the team.

Thibs was a good get for them.

Raps spent two on him a few years back, and that was for a 2 month rental (we got him at the deadline). He's even better now than he was then despite being older.. so I could see why they want 3 picks. I don't know if a team would surrender that much, but it's not a bad ask.

                • Bucks/Nets last night, Harden's second game with his new team, Irving still out. Guess what happened?

Bucks have zero chance against the Nets if they play in the playoffs. They played as well as they could last night and still lost. Again, if you can't beat Jimmy freakin Butler in the playoffs you're not beating a Kevin Durant team.

The only team that can challenge the Nets in the East imo is the Celtics.

There's something about nasty, bad attitude (in a good way), talented sneering players that are easy to hate and hard to beat.
Nets and Celtics have them. Bucks and Raps don't....

Until Cryrie returns...that could screw up everything for them. Hard to believe, but he can fuck the locker room right up.

Either way... it would appear that the Nets are now THE team to beat in the East.

TV deals drove franchise values through the roof (I've heard estimates of 65-70%). TV deals are up soon.

                              • Imagine if the Knicks had a winning ballclub? DAMN! The last time the Knicks were relevant was back when they made the Finals in 99.
