  • Game #3 Toronto Bay Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers. 7:00 PM Tampa Bay, Florida. 6:00 PM Pensacola, Florida. SN

    Starting Lineups

    Raptors
    PG-Kyle Lowry
    SG-Fred Van Vleet
    SF-Ogugua Anunoby
    PF-Pascal Siakam
    C-Aron Baynes

    Sixers
    PG-Seth Curry
    "Shooting"G-Ben Simmons
    SF-Danny Green
    PF-Tobias Harris
    C-Joel Embiid

Berta's X Factor-Aron Baynes. A-Aron has a history of being on the wrong side of a poster vs the 2nd best cameroon player in the NBA. Can't blame his heart to contest every dunk attempt. Can he help stimy the big man and chip in a few 3 pointers of his own? Holding embiid to 25 points and limiting his impact would be a win for Aron here and if he can do that we will put ourselves in a position to leave the city laughing.

Isn't he like 16 and 2 against them all time or something 🤔

      My wishlist for this one:

      1. Play more Flynn, especially if Norm is having a bad game
      2. Play more Watson instead of Bembry
      3. Don't play Lowry for over 40 minutes
      4. Do more of this instead of static Siakam iso's: https://streamable.com/e4102i
      5. Be more disciplined defensively
2019 NBA Champions. Glad to have doubted the doubters.

We might see some Len in this one as Philly goes big with Howard off the bench.

Need a good game from Norm and OG. Norm especially has been awful in the last two games.

I guess days of Embiid choking against Raps are over

I dont quite understand wtf we are sticking with midget back court..this ain't working..were getting killed defensively and rebounding..If I'm the raptors I have freddy come off the bench, he still gonna get his minutes, but bench gotta stabilize, it's been our cryptonite..I would rather have Lowry, OG, Boucher(yes at 3..defensively and were bigger, rebounding) Siakim, Baynes..Than u can have freddy, Powell, Len( his not great..but I'm pretty sure he can give u good 10 min) Terrence, Flynn..Matt Thomas is ok, but he don't play D, more 3 pt specialist, Bembry mehhh..play these guys sparingly..I question Nurses rotation, Terrence, Flynn should be getting playing time, enough of Thomas and Bembry..our D has been s$%@ with them, just awful, always out of position defensively, watch the game, just terrible.

Im probably the minority, but think our offensive play calling is good. We can develop from here, but like we ran that action you mentioned 4 straight timeslate in the 4th. Even the Siakam plays at the end were fine, created a switch and then quickly went at it - Pascal just has to execute better and kick it out when the defense collapses. Drive and kick game is huge.

Agree though, need more disciplined defensively. Tough matchup with Embiid, can Baynes handle it? Can Boucher stay on the floor?

                  Lets go, game day!

                    Matt Thomas quote via Lewenberg:

Lewenberg: what are you looking to do when you help on guys like Embiid or Howard, or are you just trying not to get an elbow in the face?
Thomas: No, I'll take an elbow in the face if that's what it takes
Guy's not the bulkiest, but the's gonna pester everyone, grab long rebounds and box out the crap of everyone so our team rebounds better. Then on the offensive end he will run miles without the ball with a defender hounding, creating the cracks and space we need for shots and dribble penetration. Team is better with him well before he even catches the ball to shoot or smoothly find the open man.

Lowry + Thomas actions are so fun to watch - to me its the new Lowry/Ibaka partnership. Their chemistry is already so nice and both guys are just natural ball players. I could do without those one legged mid range runners off the backboard, but the guy is fun.

Thats how you stay in the league a long time. Matt is a pure shooter, not the biggest, not the most athletic and probably won't be a great defender, but as long as you put in the effort and do the little things on defense.

In the first half, Siakam showed he can still be a force in this league. But then bubble Siakam crashed the party.
I'm not giving up on him yet if you don't expect him ever to be more than a 1B .... the problem continues to be we can't attract and sign a 1A

Philly, another strong defensive team should prove to be a difficult opponent. If Raps are ever going to get hot from the perimeter this would be an opportune time.

Wonder if Siakam will draw Simmons, a good defender?

Let's remember the good old times tonight. For tonight's performance the role of Marc Gasol will be played (admirably) by Aron Baynes.
