No Barnes? Moody and Bouknight aren't as high on my want list as Keon, Barnes and Mitchell, but if Masai / Bobby pick one of them, I'd feel pretty good about it

I don't see a fit for him here. We already have a point forward(Siakam). This draft is loaded with wingers and that is the position that they need to address. They need a winger/guard, a guy that can score.

I'm a no on Barnes.. just hate his shooting form and I don't think it can be fixed. It's really broken.. like MKG broken. He's got great intangibles, but the lack of shooting is going to kill his career.

I'd even take Kispert over Barnes. And Kispert is already 22.

Barnes I think has slid on my list as well, though not to this extent. I think I have him in that muddle of guys you take if the guys you really like are off the board (a muddle that Kispert is not in, for me, not in the top 10). Only really a realistic scenario if we slip to, say, 9th. Keon is the dream at 7-8, then Moody I think. If both are gone (unlikely unless we slip down), then I'd be looking at Barnes, Ziaire, guys like Bouknight, no real delineation in quality/potential there, more of a "what type of player are you looking for" decision...

Barnes seems like a career defensive presence journeyman with little to no offense. Those kind of guys are available every offseason for less than the mid level.

I won't be pissed if we drafted him, I'd just have to believe Masai and Bobby see something I don't.

I wouldn't want Draymond on this team either though. He's a product of Steph Curry. We need a Steph Curry not a Draymond Green.

I think they would really have to fall in love with a guard to pick one in this draft. Otherwise I think they go with some sort of a combo of a F/C to give us a shot at a more talented starting 5 (in due time).

If they do go guard everyone knows I like Bouknight, but Davion is the guy I think that can push the top 4 in the ROY race from the get go. Maybe not on this team though

If we're going to play the "fit" game, who's our backup 4 again?

Barnes appeal is in his frontcourt versatility, I could easily see him being our closing "centre" (especially if we run it back with on the cheap with Gillespie and Birch, as early as...his rookie season? One can easily envision effective gargantuan lineups such as Fred/OG/Pascal/Boucher/Barnes.

Well slow doesn't equal broken. He doesn't need a lightning quick release to be effective, he just needs to be able to keep defenses honest by hitting open ones. And Ben Simmons has proven even that isn't a hard prerequisite.
