Well that depends if Trent stays. Blake Murphy is saying Raptors will look at signing Monk if Trent Jr. is asking for too much money

Nah, not that high on Davion anymore. Jalen Green is my top choice if we move up. After that, I’m not even sure who the best shot creator is.... Tre Mann? Maybe better to trade the pick + FVV for Lavine.
I would argue though that there are better shot makers that would fit our team beyond Mann. I would rather Moody.

even though he's not the most naturally talented player among the top prospects, reading this profile on the projected top five just makes me like suggs even more. i love hearing shit like "coaches and staff say he's the most competitive player they've ever been around."

That clip of Barnes' workout isn't the first one I've seen of his post-college workouts, and they're all sort of the same, focusing on his shooting from distance. His form is better than it was in college, to be sure, but the release is relatively slow. He's clearly still thinking about his shot when he shoots these shots, and the drop into good form needs to be automatic, from muscle memory. Sometimes that comes with practice and repetition (OG, for example), sometimes it doesn't (Dwight Howard's free throws, which have never improved despite Howard having practiced them literally every off season).
I like Barnes, but his shooting is still a question mark, and we can't pretend otherwise.

Coaches and staff who have been around him say he's the most competitive player they've ever coached. Suggs was 19-0 with three gold medals during his USA Basketball career. He was the best player on one of the best teams college basketball has ever seen. In addition to his game-winning bank against UCLA, he was the only Gonzaga Bulldog who showed up against Baylor, scoring 22 points in 33 minutes. His handle, shooting and finishing finesse still need work, so it's natural to wonder what his season would have looked like if he was asked to create the majority of his team's offense like Cunningham at Oklahoma State. But Suggs is a winner in every sense of the word. He makes game-changing plays in big moments that suggests he has the potential to be far more than just an NBA starter in the right situation.

There's a bit of a contradiction here: the article touts Suggs' superpower being his "winning impact" and yet he lost the championship game to underdog Baylor, despite having one of the most stacked NCAA teams ever. It wasn't even that close, either.

yes, gonzaga were favoured by 4.5 points in that game. but vegas makes their living parting fools from their money and any one who follows college ball knew baylor were every bit the powerhouse that gonzaga was. for two years they were the only two teams in college that mattered and traded spots 1 and 2 on the AP and coaches polls. gonzaga were the bigger story and talked about in historical terms throughout the tournament only because they had a chance to go undefeated, but their undefeated record was no more impressive than baylor's 27-2 going into the title game imo, considering their respective conferences.
one freshman can't beat one of the greatest college teams ever assembled on his own, and his highly touted teammates, particularly first team all american kispert, did not show up. suggs still managed to have himself a pretty good night while being guarded by "off night" (whom i also love) in the biggest game of the season.
gimme that dude all day every day over the hyper-talented other jaylen, who sounds like he projects to be a chucker that struggles defensively.
