What if the Raptors completely go off the board with their pick? what if they draft Kuminga 4th overall or I don't know Keon Johnson or Barnes. What would your reaction be?

Like almost every draft, except the OG pick, at first I'm really disappointed and then I start watching more tape on the guy. I feel this time I over prepared for the top 10, so it might take me a little longer to buy in. Especially if it's Barnes.

2. Quentin Grimes (SG/SF)
3. Isaiah Todd (PF)
4. JT Thor (PF)
5. Luka Garza (C)

Of course if we get Mobley then I'd probably go a different direction here lol

If Suggs is on the board then its gonna be a problem in here. I don't know which pick is right but I know which pick I like.

Kuminga is not an instant gratification choice and he does not fill a priority identifiable need.

If you're Magic Suggs is no brainer ( like absolutely braindead) at 5. So that already tells me reaching for Barnes or whatever is a mistake.

Suggs has skills and showed strong character on a big stage at just 19 years old. Measurables aren't as important as what's between the ears. Kuminga may have the IQ and character to become a superstar... But he may not. Suggs looks like a much safer pick.

If Barnes is the pick then it should be at 6 after the Raptors traded down there. Based on everything I'm reading it seems doubtful that he breaks into the top five.

This discussions sort of reminds me of 2011 when people in here were trying to tell me I was wrong for saying the Raptors should pick Kemba Walker at #5, the right pick was Brandon Knight because of his measurables. Well, neither guy was selected by the Raptors but Kemba went 6th and turned out to be a star and a top five player from that draft. He was a safe pick. To me, Suggs' potential looks higher than Kemba's back then.

Like with all drafts there will be guys that bust, and guys that will get looked past and end up excelling. I'm just glad it's Masai and Bobby making the decision.

I have no doubt Suggs has a much better NBA career than both Kuminga and Barnes. He also has great measurables for a PG and seems pretty damn athletic on tape, I'm really struggling to see any downside with Suggs.
